I’m using this to add hysteresis to an automatic transfer switch that switches a subpanel of my house from utility to the off grid solar system. There are certain situations where it would switch to solar, overload the inverter and switch back, and this would happen dozens of times a second until the inverter turned off or I caught it. We’ve had to micromanage the transfer switch ourselves since then and reduce the loads in the subpanel, but with this I can at least guarantee it won’t switch more frequently than every 10 minutes, preferring the utility side. Since the microwave, toaster, and air fryer were often the feather that broke the camels back this is enough time to prevent it from switching too often, and ten minutes of sun charging the batteries with no load also gives the solar system a chance to catch up.

This device seems to usually behave correctly. However, mode F sometimes does not work the way that it's supposed to.Mode F is supposed to stay on for a fixed time. If you have the time set to 5 seconds, and trigger it for 1 second, it should stay on for the full five seconds.Sometimes, when you switch to mode F, it doesn't do that. If you apply the trigger for 1 second, it only stays on for 1 second. So far, it's never done that if you power it on in mode F. But I haven't tested it extensively; it might do that some of the time as well. It's definitely concerning to me, because the reason I want to use this is because I have hardware that can get damaged if you power cycle it too quickly.
