This is a good quality weight set and straight bar. Good overall value. Easy to use and was a good amount of weight for most of my workout. I would definitely recommend this set.

So I think this would be okay for a beginner but not for someone who is serious about working out. I don’t like that the weights are plastic-filled with sand (or whatever material). I also don’t like that the bar consists of multiple pieces that connect together. It serves its purpose as is, but I don’t think I would trust it to add some serious weights on it. If you are looking for an all-in-one quick purchase, I could see its appeal, but for just a tad bit more, you can purchase a proper bar and set of metal plates. I will say the bar fits together well and doesn’t feel cheap. It’s just the level of equipment I was looking for. It would probably be great as a first set for kids.

If you’re looking for an inexpensive, space-saving weight set for light workouts, this set does the job. It’s not high-end equipment, but for general home use, it’s fine. The weights are plastic-coated and filled with a material like sand, which makes them lighter than traditional metal plates but also means they aren’t as durable. For beginners or those working with lower weight ranges, this set is a good in-between option—more adjustable than fixed kettlebells but not as bulky as a full-size Olympic barbell. However, if you’re serious about weight training, you’re unlikely to be looking at these weights to begin with. This is more for someone starting out or wanting something convenient for casual workouts. The snap-together bar seems to be designed more for shipping than for easy storage. While it does make the set more compact, the connection points have a bit of play, which may be noticeable during use. It still functions fine, but it’s not as solid as a one-piece bar.Overall, a decent option for light use, but not a long-term solution for serious lifters.

I absolutely love this adjustable barbell setThe bar comes in three pieces that click togetherThe weights are a hard plastic filled with ~sandComes with 2 10#, 2 5#, 2 2.5# weightsI love it because it’s great quality, it’s enough weight for me to do most of the exercise exercises to get a good workout in without going to the gym.My husband is always on me about how much room work out equipment takes up, so this is great because I can disassemble it and it takes up hardly any space at all.Packed very well in shipping. This is a great set for anyone starting out, or looking for a nice travel set-

I’m starting my weight training journey in menopause, and this set is exactly what I needed. It’s adjustable, so I can start light and gradually increase as I get stronger. The 45-pound total weight gives enough variety for different exercises without feeling overwhelming. The bar is lightweight but sturdy, and the knurling provides a good grip without being too rough. The cement-filled plates are covered in a plastic shell, which means no rust and no worrying about scratching my floors. Assembly is quick and easy, and the spring collars hold everything securely. If you’re looking for a beginner-friendly barbell set that’s easy to use and store, this is a great choice.

These weights are a good starter set. I'm 5'5, 135lbs and needed equipment to lift weights. This is the perfect set for people are are starting out. The weights are not too heavy. I received 2 10lb, 5lb, and 2.5lb weights. The bar is about 10lbs. The weights have handles on it which is safer and easier to lift. I can do many exercises with these weights, without bench pressing. The rod itself is easy to assemble and has a notch that locks in. It's harder to disassemble it. I like how it's easy to store too. I can just put the weights under my bed or in the corner of the room. I think it's a good set for elderly with limited mobility or teenagers who want to tone up.
