I have a 2023 Polaris Ranger 1000 this charger came with clips for bare battery posts or it’ll plug right into the dash on my UTV!! It works great for that application as that’s what I bought it for. It’s a nice high quality trickle charger that can stay plugged in as it monitors charge level automatically and has lights on it to tell you battery conditions.

I'm on my 4th car battery in as many years bc something with my car drains it if I don't drive for more than 2 days. We've done all the testing and I'm just sick of it already so I got this. It installs to the battery and then plugs in to an outlet so the battery is kept charged all the time. Yes it's a band-aid solution but since I started using this I haven't had a dead car once. It is really easy to use and barely an inconvenience at all. I wish I knew about this before I spent hundreds of dollars on battery blankets, Jump services from tow trucks, and replacing battery after battery.

New vehicles seem to have a continuous power drain because to computers and electronics. This charger works great to prevent slow discharging of vehicles that I let sit for long periods of time. I also use it to charge my RV batteries in my garage (I have removed them for the winter)

I have 2 cars that don’t get driven much, a 2008 Corvette and a 1966 Mustang. The Vette has an Optima AGM battery, and if it sits for 2 weeks the voltage drops enough from parasitic drain that it won’t crank, just a clicking noise. The Mustang on the other hand can sit for a month or two and the battery is still strong. So I needed something to keep the Vette juiced up and this Battery Tender seemed to fit the bill.I connected it up to the Optima battery, which was at 12.6v and the amber charge light stayed on but the green light didn’t flash or come on. The manual says the green light should flash when the battery is charged above 80% so you know when the battery is usable, so I thought it should be lighting up. I checked the voltage and the battery was up to 12.9v so I knew it was charging but still no indication that the battery was over 80% charged. I waited about half an hour and eventually the green light started flashing for about 15 minutes and then went solid meaning charging was complete.I then tried it on my Mustang’s lead-acid battery which was also at 12.6v with similar results. The amber light stayed on but no green light even as the battery hit 13.1v. I got tired of waiting for the battery to hit “80%” so I checked it an hour later and it was fully charged by then. I disconnected the tender and after 24 hours the two batteries were back to 12.6v.While it does charge the battery and keep it charged, I’m disappointed that the flashing green light doesn’t seem to come on until the last 15 minutes of charging. I can’t believe that the battery is less than 80% charged until then. So yes, the Battery Tender does seem to work but the 80% status light is pretty useless to me.

I have a small car with a front and rear dashcam installed that has a parking mode. Without this being plugged into the car battery when the car isn't being used, the dashcam will shut down in order not to drain the battery. I initially ordered a different battery maintainer product that stays under the hood, but realised there wasn't any place I could install it. With this one, I just have the cable permanently attached to the battery and there is a weather proof connector that is used to connect it to the charger. 1.25 Amps is strong enough to charge and maintain the battery in my car. It has an amber light to indicate it is charging the battery and a green light to indicate it is fully charged and maintaining the battery.*** Update ***Stopped charging after 9 months of use. (Flashes yellow as if not connected.) Too much trouble & cost to ship at my own expense to USA for warranty repair/replacement, so just purchased another one. Hopefully this one will last longer.
