Working with a sharp tool is very dangerous, so TAKE CARE OF YOUR FINGERS and use elastic tape to save them. Just wrap fingers using the carving tape to prevent cuts and abrasions without limiting dexterity.

This works well for the carving individuals but also wood turning. I turn pens and the tape helps control the heat from the friction of friction polish.
