Just like a factory oil pressure switch. This part is for your gauge reading in your 3 gauge dash cluster. Its not the idiot light sending unit in front of your cyl. head. Beck Arnley parts are good as oem.

Thread fitting on this is to big for my engine block. I had to reorder part from different supplier (Zcar) and got correct item.

Perfect fit and great replacement for the tired OEM Sending unit. Highly recommend if you got an older Z.

My previous oil pressure switch was a direct fit model directly from Japan. My oil pressure gauge on the dash never registered the correct pressure and I assumed that since it was over 50 years old that this was the problem. Installed the new gauge from BA and bingo! My pressure is now reading a robust 40-45 under speed.

Worked great on my 72' Datsun 240z. How to test if its the gauge or the sending unit: Turn key on, pull wire from sending unit and touch it to ground. If gauge flies to high pressure, its the sending unit. If gauge does nothing, its the gauge. Don't keep it grounded too long (more than 3-4 seconds) or you may burn out your gauge.... then you will need both!!!
