In my sculpting work, I often want a tool that will get into tight places. I want a tool light enough that it won’t hammer the stone too much, aggressive enough to remove stone quickly, and rugged enough that it won’t be forever wearing out.So when I saw this little ‘spinner’ of sintered diamond ruggedness, I was delighted. …And sure enough, it’s all I had hoped it would be. Rugged enough to just burrow out narrow hollows, or ‘controlled’ enough to tidily remove the center of a tea-light cup hole drilled with a core drill. …Yes, this little tyke (…well “these”, there are two) will be kept busy this season.Note: I could have mounted the grinding wheel directly on the grinder’s spindle, but because it is so small I found it helpful to add a 1-inch extender. I did this to move the tool a little bit further away from the grinder so I could see what it was doing; the tools is so small that it gets hidden beneath the grinder’s head.
