Started up right away and ran perfectly right from idle to full throttle. Did have to buy the 2 proper thread bolts but only cost 3 dollars so not sure if re tapping is worth your effort .

After buying several of these most are ready to use, but this one I had to fix first. Choke was not assembled properly from factory. And this one did not come with the bolts for mounting.

The carb works, but I had to do some work to it out of the box. The choke mechanism was not put together right, so I had to disassemble it and reassemble it to make it work. Also had to chase all the threads with a tap to get the bolts to go in as they should. We shall see how long it works.

Moi, c'est les trous du carb au manifold qui fittaient pas pantoute. De plus, c'est des vis métriques et non SAE pour cette partie. Donc, précaution. Mais j'ai pu utiliser les autres vis du carb (qui sont SAE!) et la partie du haut. Faque j'ai pas tout perdu. Gardez les pièces originales qui sont de meilleure qualité ainsi que les gaskets. On sait jamais! Évitez à tout prix les gaskets verts chinois, c'est d'la m.a.r.d.e.

Choke linkage was backwards on the carburetor. I had to remove the choke plate , reverse the linkage and reassemble. Works good.

bought this carb for my Wheel Horse Garden Tracker that was running horribly, tried new sparkplugs, no improvement, tried adjusting the original carb using a vacuum gauge, and by ear, did not make any difference, still ran rough, would backfire loudly when I shut it off. The tractor is a 1988, so I really didn't want to spend too much money on it, I thought I'd try a new carb, seeing as they were priced right, I received it the next day! Put new carb on, hit the key, I swear it didn't even make a full revolution be for it started, and ran PERFECT, no adjustment required, my tractor has never run as good as it does now. I now believe my old Wheel Horse has many years left before I need to think about a new garden tractor.

Was hoping it was the right one when i ordered, got it n didnt match what was on my welder, but bolted right up, fired right up n purrrrs like a kitty, love it.. if you need a carb for an Onan 16 hp motor this is it..
