This can work as marker paper, but it is practically tracing paper in weight and opacity (or I should say, translucency).Pigment bleeds to the other side, but not onto whatever surface the paper is resting on, unless of course it's another piece of this paper. Weird, but whatever. Will not take pencil, nor a gel pen or ink, ball-point/roller-ball only.
Great quality!

I am an intermediate artist but beginner to markers!I used both Windor&Newton, and Prisma Markers, and both does not bleed! The papers are really light but surprisingly keeps the color saturation bright and dense.Absolutely RECOMMENDED !

I like to think I’m a well versed artist but this paper is weird. It’s very thin—which they seem to market as a pro. It is very smooth and does take ink well. It is so thin though. You couldn’t mount this paper without a backer. It’s inexpensive enough but I’d just assume use computer paper.

I wouldn't consider myself a true 'artist', rather my daughter is the one with the skills. Originally I ordered this for her, but I've rather enjoyed using it myself. It's definitely different from any other paper we have used, but it's uniqueness makes it that much more appealing and great to work with. Two different packs of this paper arrived quick, both packaged together and sealed in plastic. The strength of the two packs together eliminated the chances of the paper creasing or folding in transit. The paper is really interesting in that it's pretty thin and transparent. It also has a very smooth surface. I would have never thought that this would be a no bleed marker paper because it doesn't seem like the markers would stick/absorb. I also thought, for sure, markers (especially juicy ones like Copic or other alcohol based brands) would immediately bleed through. It's worth a mention that if the page gets too wet it will wrinkle, so you have to be careful when layering colors. This paper is really nice to work with. Markers or watercolors glide so easy over the smooth, unpitted surface without any resistance. You do have to be careful though because the ink needs a chance to dry, as it doesn't have a porous surface to absorb into, so the ink will smudge. What's impressive is the color payoff! I've never realized how much of the pigment gets absorbed into regular paper until I compared swatches of the same colors on this paper to other paper. This by far shows the true colors, rich in pigment and vibrancy. But the real suprise is that this thin, almost parchment like paper doesn't bleed through! Sure, you do get some bleed through on the back of the paper your working with but it does not bleed onto the page or surface underneath! Watercolor, alcohol based markers, regular markers and even bold Sharpies stay confined to just the single page. Each page is transparent and looks super soft when displayed by itself. That transparency disappears when you layer this with a solid colored paper behind. My daughter has made some really stunning art with different colored papers behind this. She even placed one of these pages over a collage page she made and it is insanely gorgeous! (I'm waiting for the end of the school year when she gets it back because I need it for my room!)She's also made some really cool pieces by layering 3 sheets of this together, with different art on each piece. It makes for a really interesting, almost 3D piece. The possibilities are really endless with the stuff you can create with this paper.I'm really impressed with this paper and I'm so glad I picked it up. It's great for beginners or seasoned artists and quite versatile and easy to work with. I realize this is a trusted and well known brand by the art community, so I feel the price is more than reasonable.

I've been using smooth Bristol paper for my alcohol markers for awhile now, and it's great because it's thick and can stand up to the wear and tear such markers can cause; it doesn't wrinkle, it doesn't tear or get "wear patches", and it's smooth enough to allow for fairly even blending of colors. However, markers can bleed through to the next sheet, thus I HAVE to have a "sacrifice" sheet, or a plastic sheet, under the piece of paper I'm drawing on. Not so with this paper! At first I had my reservations because of how thin the paper is (it's as thin as tracing paper and can be used as such), but after using it, I was VERY impressed! It stands up to markers like a champ; it doesn't tear or wear away, it's super smooth and this means super easy smooth blends (the yellow to blue blend wasn't with the best markers, but still pretty good blend), and though markers bleed through the top they don't bleed INTO the paper beneath. I was able to also use a pencil on this paper, but it is not intended for pencil and has a hard time holding onto the pencil marks because of how smooth it is. I only used a pencil to trace out another drawing so I could color it on this paper. Really the biggest problem I have with this paper is that it wrinkles if you apply too many successive layers without letting it dry in between. Unfortunately, this can't be "fixed" once it occurs, but so long as you keep your layers to 3 or less (or can let it dry between layers) this shouldn't be too much of a problem. The only other complaint is that it is REALLY thin, and I don't think it would be good for professional use or with anything you intend to sell. However for the price, it's a pretty good deal since you get 2 pads of the paper. If nothing else, it will be good for use under my Bristol paper to keep it from bleeding through to other surfaces.

This is the same quality marker paper I expect from a leading art supply brand like Bienfang. I am an artist, graphic designer, crafter, and calligrapher. I have used a number of different marker papers and this is one of the best. I especially like that I can use pen, ink, and calligraphy nibs on it without it catching. It has an exceptionally smooth surface that makes is ideal for so many arts and crafts.

So, most of the really good marker paper I have used is thinner than most drawing paper. This is really thin as well. Also, when they say it doesn’t bleed through, I don’t think they mean it doesn’t bleed to the back, because it definitely does… but it doesn’t bleed to the next piece of paper in the pad. You can’t color on both sides of this paper, which is fine, but something to know. My alcohol markers blend beautifully on this paper.
