Cheaply made and the antenna is for looks not function. The antenna doesn’t even have coaxial cable input. It’s just solid and screws in. I will not be using and finding a better product

Relocated the radio antena on my plate carrier, hid it in the plate bag. Makes a clear difference on receiving. Did not use the flex antena, just added my Motorola xps3000 antena on it and it's perfect.

I took the stock rubber antenna off my Retivis RT-5R, like a UV5R, and massive improvements for reception and sending capabilities. Love it!!! Thanks

Picked up the antenna to see if it improved the range over my 18in Nagoya. Did see some improvement of gain until plastic portion of antenna was separate from the knurled metal base. Antenna is fragile and prone to coming apart.Could hear and transmit clearly to other radios but need something that won’t pull apart if it snags on a branch. Would have thought flexibility would be reliability, but did not prove true.2 stars because it did seem to make a difference up until the point that it was just dangling off my back.

Easy to route through a plate carrier and keeps the antenna out of the way through a hydration pack.

Not sure what band this Antenna is tuned for, if tuned at all. Do not buy for GMRS
