The previous water system in our aviary would leak/drip at times which caused mold to grow under the corn cob bedding. These silos sit flat upon a clear plate on the base of the aviary with no dripping, spilling, or leaking. The spouts are lower making it easier for our finches to drink water and they make less mess. The silos are large enough for me to place my hand in to wash them thoroughly in hot, soapy water and the plastic is not affected by the few drops of bleach added to kill any pathogens in the water.Would highly recommend these to any aviary caretaker or home bird enthusiast.
