I want to love this. I got mine through Costco, and it's been one frustration after another.Add $30 right off the bat because you NEED a perch extender. Otherwise, the birds will perch off camera and you don't get photos. You'll find cheaper ones on etsy and ebay, but they break right away. (Ask me how I know.)Meanwhile, the orange landing pad does not stay securely. Squirrels knock it to the ground, and one even dragged it off to some bushes to eat my suet block. Fortunately, we found it the next day.The camera takes excellent quality photos. That's the only reason I have not yet returned this. The problem is, the camera does not get triggered unless the bird has been there for nearly a full minute. (Again, without the perch extender this rarely happens.) I sit there and watch birds come and go, and the camera catches maybe 10% of them. If I try to get them manually by loading the livestream, that ALSO takes about a minute to load....so it's too slow.My wifi connection is excellent. I've been back and forth with customer service. They even sent me a replacement camera, but (a) it was refurbished, not new, and this was a brand new product and (b) it worked exactly like the original.If you can put this somewhere where you won't often see it, you will get some excellent photos. No question. If you want to get more than a small sampling of the birds that come, you might be out of luck.
