Low profile Quick Release 316 stainless steel hinge. Surface mount, no cut-outs are necessary. The hinge snaps into base and stays attached to bimini when separated. What a great item ! Easy to install , secure , easy to release and connect and looks great ! Took about 15 minutes to install 4 on my boat. I use my boat on a lake with a low bridge to go from one bay to the other and need to drop the Bimini every time. Trying to get those silly pins lined up in a moving boat drove me nuts. These quick release connectors are a game changer. I've only used them a couple of times now so I cant judge the long term quality but I have a heck of good first impression.

I do like these, but they are not completely flat. both ends curve up a little bit. You will have to use some 5200 to sell them up after you screw them down. Its not a huge problem but I feel like they could've made them flatter.

Product as described. UPS is horrible. They just try to get it to the correct street and let you work it out. At least UPS took photo on front porch so I could find the house it was delivered to
