I was expecting this bench to be OK and of sufficient build quality but I was expecting to make a compromise in functionality and quality for maximum space efficiency and mobility. Turns out I got the latter as needed but this bench is actually super solid and stable, and while I do wish the back pad had a little more width (it’s tapered to cater to dumbbell lifts which is a plus for that purpose) it’s comfortable and ergonomic. I’m 6’ 190ish and broad shouldered and I feel well supported. The bench sits lower than most adjustable benches and this allows stable footing and leg drive when pressing. The gap is barely noticeable when laying flat. Padding is nice and firm with a nice feeling texture and decent grip. Super easy to fold up and unfold and wheel around. I would never expect a folding bench to be this robust however and was always skeptical of this concept. I love that is has a legit low incline setting and 7 altogether- not common at this price point. The seat pad is fixed but so far not finding this bothersome and I might partially be able attribute this to the footing aspect I described above. It’s an attractive looking bench and happens to match my Powerline rack I purchased at the same time. Both were on sale recently and I feel like I got an incredible value on this setup. The fact it was ready to go out the box was of course an icing on the cake as well. Body-Solid packages their equipment very well in my experience, it arrived as one would hope it to, had to reapply the little padded decal however. Can’t go wrong with this bench if you need a good mix of quality and sturdiness and space saving features for a home gym

Purchased this during the start of covid and have used it for over a year now. The packaging and build quality is 10/10 for the price. The comfort is a tad stiff for a bench, but it is still good and will last a long time. It is not uncomfortable either though. I would rate the comfort a 8/10 compared to some plush gym benches I have used in the past, but it is still good for home. The incline adjustments are very smooth and lock into place well.I am very satisfied with it still a year later.

Comprado por recomendación, está claro que es más caro que la mayoría de bancos de pesas, pero no se mueve ni un ápice al hacer ejercicios de mancuernas sobre él. Si te lo puedes permitir, no lo dudes

I have been needing a bench like this one for years! I use it with a squat rack and fold it up against the squat rack so the space it takes up is minimal. I was hoping to get a bench with an adjustable seat as well as an adjustable back, but I’m glad I made this purchase. While the seat portion isn’t adjustable, I love the foot pegs more than I ever thought I would and those don’t usually come with benches with adjustable seats. They make it so much easier to get back up and help with crunches in the decline position. I didn’t think much of the footpegs, but they turned out to be a pleasant bonus!I had been concerned that a folding bench might not be as sturdy, but like all Body Solid products, this bench is very stable and feels solid. I can sit at either end of the bench and it doesn’t tip or feel like it’s under stress. I chose this bench over others mainly because the way it adjusts looks like one of the sturdiest ways of doing it. The positions are also great compared to other benches I was looking at. The decline is a great angle and it goes all the way to the near-vertical incline (which is impressive). The gap between the pads is necessary for the incline positions, but it doesn’t bother me at all and doubt it will be trouble for others either. The back piece does get narrow, but I do not mind it. It aids in allowing free movement of your arms and shoulders. My benches have all been getting progressively narrower and it takes a while to get used to, but is a welcome change. If you’re scared you might slip off one side (you won’t), you should definitely use safeties. This is true of any bench, especially adjustable ones as I have seen reviews of other adjustable benches breaking. My only issues were with the packaging, but I’m still giving the product itself 5 stars. The box it came in looked sturdy.., but the foot pegs were sticking out of holes in the sides; luckily, it wasn’t damaged. The handle at the base of the seat cushion was also sticking out though and unfortunately, that had caused cosmetic damage. The cushions were wrapped in plastic which is great for protecting them, but I did have to unbolt the cushions to fully remove the plastic. I am having problems with the adhesive as well. The Powerline sticker is coming off which doesn’t bother me at all, but the warning labels under both cushions appear to have melted adhesive which smeared all over the bottom of the cushions. For the seat cushion, this label is right where you would grab to help yourself sit back up. I tried cleaning it with several different chemicals and even a magic eraser, but the stickiness remains. I contacted BodySolid customer support and they seemed to know of this issue and offered replacement cushions.

Just to start off, I've had the Powerline Bench for a little over 9 months now with moderate to heavy usage. It has been used at a minimum of 4 times per week by myself, wife and also friends. I am no writing this review after opening, it has been through 9 months of moderate to heavy usage.Short Review: Must have item for any home gym, stable, durable. Good buy so far with moderate to heavy use.Long review:If you are looking for home gym equipment than this is the right place to be looking. People who buy home gym equipment often forget that one of the most important equipment is actually a STABLE and durable bench. In my small opinion, the Powerline bench is very stable and I have used it upwards to 400 pounds (myself with weights included) and the bench holds well. No shakyness of the frame except for the head board. There is some small wiggle room there but not to the point of annoyance. I actually chose this over a lot of the other benches due to the way it holds positions. There is a metal framed bar that you can adjust to the 7 positions and that gave me a lot of confidence. Many other benches only had only a metal pin to hold positions, and that seemed a bit too hokey for me. I needed something solid that will not fail if I were to lift heavy. The Powerline bench offers 7 adjustable height setups which is very adequate for everyone to use. Although it does mention 7 positions, I would argue that it is only suitable for 6 positions. The decline position doesn't seem to fit in well for me, I feel as though I am falling off the bench while in decline. The cushioning is fantastic. It isn't too soft nor too hard, just right in the middle. Stitching is also pretty good, I haven't seen anything come off and my bench still looks brand new after all these months. I've seen a lot of comments about the adhesive on some of the stickers being annoying but I did not find anything wrong with my bench. There are a few con's to this bench if you are wondering. My biggest issue with the bench is the head board. It narrows down to much for me and I do have a wide frame. It measures 10.25 inches in width and narrows down to 8.25 inches in width towards the head. It can be annoying at times but I have gotten used to it (One star taken away for this, I would have preferred a bench that was 10.25 all the way in width). Another issue that I've found was the gap between the head board and the seat. There seems to be like a 2 inch gap there and it can annoy some people.Pro's:1. Very stable bench2. 7 advertised positions (my opinion is 6 positions)3. Good cushioning as well as stitching4. Very stable bench5. Did I mention that it was stable?Con's or improvements:1. Head boards narrows down to 8.25 inches, make them all 10.25 inches in width from bottom to top (1 star taken off for this)2. Small gap between head board and seatOverall this is a decent bench for anyone deciding to start their own home gyms.If this review was helpful in anyway, a simple CLICK below for YES would help me know what else to review in the future. Thanks. --JY
