Easy to assemble.I’ve tried assembling other benches before, and I think this one is on the easier side. There were no missing parts and the screws etc were all clearly labeled.Perfect DeliveryBox was in pristine condition. Individual parts were wrapped in plastic for protection and had no damage in transit.Easy storage.I love that this bench can be folded up and stand on its own. When I’m not using it I set it aside to save space.StableI’ve seen a couple other reviews that mentioned their bench being wobbly, but mine is nice and sturdy so far.

I wanted a simple bench to do home workouts. I usually splurge a bit for quality goods that last, but I knew this would only last a few short months while we're all isolated with Covid-19. So I took a chance with this cheaper bench, that had angle adjustment and leg supports/decline for ab work.I wasn't expecting much, assuming it'd be a pain to assemble, there'd be parts missing, it would feel unsturdy, it would squeak, etc. But honestly, none of that was the case.It came in a nice compact box, with approximately 8-9 main parts and all the screws/washers nicely labelled in a step-by-step fashion so you only opened the screws you needed for the steps you were in the instructions. You need two adjustable wrenches, but the allen key is included. It basically consisted of lining of parts and screwing them in. As long as you tighten the screws, the whole thing feels rock solid... almost. There's just 1 part that feels a bit flimsy, which is the seat-back support which notches into the various holds causing the backrest to be angled. The way it's designed, it wiggles around a little. However once you notch it in, the weight of the seat back (and you) make sure it's seated firmly, so it's really not a big deal. The cushion doesn't feel luxurious (it's fake leather), but it's not especially cheap either.I expect this will last quite awhile considering my moderate usage. I think you get more for what you paid for, but again, it's $70, so don't expect the rock solid quality of a several hundred dollar bench.

I had my dumbbells for over six months now and couldn't get a decent workout with them alone so I figured I'd search for a utility bench here on Amazon. Upon days of thorough searching and comparing brands (yes I did read their company history as well), I concluded that Marcy was the way to go. They also have a cheaper version of bench at $100 but it is the slant version (more focus on ab workout). I wanted a bench where it can go straight/flat so I can do those mean pectoral fly and chest press. This Marcy SB-228 bench offers positions for a couple of ab workouts as well. Those handles are good for doing abdominal leg raises while in decline or you can just go ahead and do abdominal crunches. Either way, this bench for me is a winner! In regards to aesthetics, don't get intimidated by the all black finish of this bench because when I opened the box myself I was blown away by how good looking it is in person. It is a little bit textured which gives a more comfortable feel and it is more of a matte black - which I think is lovely. The Marcy logo is subtle and there are white stitches on the bench which gave it a very classy and unique look. The assembly instructions were very clear plus they even packed the nuts and bolts very neatly with their corresponding steps and item numbers.I just did my first workout a while ago and it felt very sturdy. I know another bench here on Amazon by a different brand and it had several bad reviews of being rusty or breaking down after a couple of workouts. This isn't like that at all! This is not cheaply made and looks very good in our living room too since it can be folded and stored on the side. Lastly, if you want a basic full body weight bench at a fair price which ultimately delivers in aesthetics and reliability... hit that Add to Cart button now! Cheers

I was a bit underwhelmed but I am still going to keep it. I was hoping to be able to do a lot of ab workouts on it as well as using for weight lifting. The leg support stirrups are very awkward. When on a decline I could not use it to do sit ups because the butt portion is flat and then it bends your back down in a not natural way, and I’m only 5’6. Scooting back farther didn’t help because then it hyperextended my knees. The darn bar also causes issues when trying to sit all the way up and use for curls, because it’s right there in the way. I opted to entirely take off the top bar, and at least I can use it for level sit ups and seated curls etc. Seems to be fine for bench pressing as well.It would be nicer if they allowed more adjustment for the seat, because it only has 3 settings. They could have welded more in between, because even for myself an average sized person, I can’t get the full use out of this bench. Overall it was a decent price but I would not buy another bench like This in the future. Also they used like 3 different sized nuts for this bench which made it overly complicated to put together because not everybody has the right ratchets or tools at home. I had to use pliers and the Allen wrench to do the largest piece which was a total pain to tighten. Even with everything tightened absolutely to the max, the bold that attaches the backboard and the leg stirrups wiggle a lot. Despite it being a bit wobbly, I was safely able to do step ups on this bench so I guess it’s fine that it wobbles a bit.

I had second thoughts about buying this product because of some reviews but i'm glad I bought it. You have to realize that this bench is not like the ones you have at any gym, this is a home version of it so it is not as big and resistant. I'm a 39 year old female and my height id 5.2. It took only 4 days for the bench to arrive. It came in a decent size package and it wasn't too heavy. I put it together all by myself. It took me like 45 min.The instructions are pretty straight forward, all the screws and nuts come with a number so you know which one to use (make sure you don't remove them from the thing they come in, just make a little cut in the plastic and take them as you need. Even though the bench comes with all the tools and parts you will need an adjustable wrench and some pliers or another wrench to tighten some nuts. You really need to make sure the bases are tight otherwise it will be wobbly (this is not because the bench is faulty, is because you are not tightening the parts properly). The bench size is average, like I said before i'm 5.2 and the size in my opinion is perfect. the bench itself is very sturdy. You can even fold it flat. Great price too.

I feel that not enough info about this bench is listed in the reviews and in the description so I'm here to put some hard thoughts on this bench.First, the overall design is great. I know, its a bench, but everything works as it should. From decline, to flat, to incline the bench is great. I didn't have super high expectations going into a 50 dollar adjustable bench but I was really impressed.Overall construction is great. When the bolts are fully tightened how they need to be the bench is solid, feels like one piece. I was certain I would get some loose feeling from the whole nut and bolt design but nope, this thing holds together beautifully. The bench cushions are what you would expect from a 50 dollar bench but hey, they get the job done. You're on this thing to workout, not watch a movie for 2 hours. Just be careful tightening the screws that fasten it to the frame, the wood is pretty thin and overtightening would cause it to strip I'm sure.My only real dispute is the top part for under your knees. I thought it would stay put but it in fact spins. Not the worst thing, a simple drill and screw could make it stationary but maybe in the next model make it solid. One of my favorite take aways from this bench is that it folds up. You take out a simple pin the legs where your feet go fold in and boom. Slides right under my bed.Think it took all of 20 minutes to put together. Love this bench and so will you.
