These are getting harder to find. Don't forget to clamp the hose on each end of it. You don't want an evap purge leak coming up on your code reader.

Randomly got a check engine light one day. I ran the code and it was P0455. My ODB recommended tightening the gas cap, replacing the gas cap, or replacing the vapor canister valve assembly. I first took the gas cap off and visually checked it - it had been tight, and the seal was still good. Found this on Amazon and pulled the trigger. If you’re not very familiar with Audi/VW’s (I wasn’t aware of this as I hadn’t encountered it yet while working on my car), they often use Oetiker (“ear” clamps) on various hoses. The connections on each side of this assembly were Oetiker on my vehicle. I bought a cheap set of clamps and a knockoff version of Oetiker clamps for this job. I’d also recommend some kind of “auto hose separator” pliers because my connection was almost impossible to separate after 20 years of gunk. Take a look on YouTube - there are some videos showing it for a VW and it’s applicable to an Audi. Cleared the code, fired my car up, and it hasn’t returned over the last 2 weeks.

I have a evap leak. This didn’t fix it. Guess I’ll just burn to death eventually. Lol.Edit: Found out later it was my LDP that was bad. If you’re getting a Gross Evap codes on your MK4 1.8t, remove your rear passenger splash guard and see if the hoses are rotten like mine. If they are say hello to a new $250-$600 Leak Detection Pump.

When I receive the product it appeared used and broken. I did get the same product else where and it works like a charm. So the product itself was good.

Used in a 2001 VW Eurovan camper. Correct part and cured hard starting after re-fueling. The van would only start with the gas pedal depressed and after the engine turned over for quite a while.
