This is a reconditioned power tool. Reconditioned generally means that the tool has been returned to the manufacturer, who brings the tool back to like new conditions. Some tools may contain cosmetic blemishes. The new Bosch 1617EVSPK gives you the best of both the fixed-base and plunge router worlds! It features a 12 amp, 2-1/4-horsepower, 8,000 to 25,000 rpm (no-load) motor with plunge base and fixed base in a rugged well-organized carrying case. This kit features the exclusive quick-clamp system, allowing tool-free movement of motor from base to base. Other key features include variable speed, soft-start, and Constant Response circuitry that maintains speed under load. The depth adjustment system features coarse and microfine bit depth adjustment with re-settable indicators. Both bases have large base openings with 2-inch sub-base openings, accepting larger bits and providing better visibility. The routers' right or left switch and cord locations provide both choice and consistency, and the motor does not rotate during depth adjustment. The tool-free templet guide adapter allows quick changes, and both bases feature the Bosch exclusive precision centering design for centering optional templet guides. The motor has a one-piece armature shaft for accuracy and long bit shank capacity.

The plunge capabilities make using this router that much more enjoyable. Ergonomically very easy to operate and hold steady. Very well made, like most Bosch gear. I did buy mine as a factory refurbished unit, but aside from a sticker stating it was used you would have never known. Like new condition and operates like a dream.

Plenty of power for any job, lots of features and even though it is renewed it came with everything a new model comes with. No signs of even the slightest use. It replaced a 12 year old Bosch in my table router. Works seamlessly.

I was a bit suspicious at first of Factory Reman and the quality of the "used" router. However, I figured it was worth the risk given the discount and worst case I'd return and buy new. The item showed up in a Bosch box and honestly unless you were told you would never know this to be a reman unit. Looks and runs like it was new with all the paperwork and accessories included.Would definitely buy again..

Always wanted one of these and heard they were high quality product! Yes I can say it is!! Love the feel of the grips and the adjustable speed is great on different kinds of wood! Pricey but worth the money if you can swing the price!
