I got these to add small water hammer arrestors to a couple spots in my irrigation system. They are simple straight cylinders with a 1/2" thread and my system is 3/4" so these reducers will allow me to just attach the arrestors to a tee near my valves. I haven't permanently assembled this portion of my plumbing yet or put pressure to it, but I don't foresee any issues with these. The threads seem to be great in my trial fit-ups and the brass should hold up well outdoors (above ground).
