It’s junk. The first time we placed it on the water faucet it beoke. The duel arm pulled through where you tighten it up to the faucet. We Replaced the retaining clip that came off and it did it again. The design of this will not hold up to any type of tightening. Don’t waste your money on this product.

The nut is attached to the assembly with a simple open-ended snap ring. This causes any hose movement at the faucet to side load the nut, pop the snap ring, in the whole thing comes apart

Good value product, easy to install, well made brass diverter, I've been using it for a while and it doesn't leak.

I really wanted to like this product, and I did at first, but not for long. While initially tightening the splitter onto my faucet, it came apart. Simple enough, I could see how it was assembled, and it was just a matter of putting the snap ring back into its groove and reinserting the rubber washer. That was just 1 or 2 days ago, and I think nobody used the hose yesterday.Today someone used it again, and soon after, I noticed that water was spewing between the hose bib and this hose splitter. I figured it must have just gotten loosened a bit, so I went to tighten it. As I did, once again the whole connector fell apart.I'm just hand-tightening this connection; I'm not even putting a wrench on it, and the wire snap ring can't stay in the groove. Maybe I could get a different ring or figure out some other way to keep it from coming apart, but it's not really my job to redesign a product that should work in the first place.Sorry, but I cannot recommend this product at all.Additional thoughts: the product description says you don't need to worry about water freezing inside this splitter. While that's a dubious claim in itself, the issue with water freezing in pipes is not limited to the outside items. When water is allowed to freeze in a faucet fitting, it creates enormous pressure inside the pipes, extending inside the house and can cause pipes to burst even where they don't freeze. That's why I've installed frost-free hose bibs on my house: they extend some 10-12" into the heated portion of the house, and the actual shutoff occurs back there where it will never freeze. The remaining water inside the faucet drains out so that nothing is there to freeze. Leaving anything attached (especially something with its own shutoff) could cause water to remain in the outside portion of the faucet, totally canceling the benefits of having frost-proof faucets in the first place. Just don't do it.

I like that the distance between the two spigots is much bigger than a lot of other splitters. I wanted to use this outside to put a timer on one spigot and a hose on the other. Some of the timers are really bulky.I was flummoxed by the addition of the red handles included in the package. It was pointed out to me that they are simply extra handles, especially if you have a hot and a cold water situation, like in a laundry room or garage. You change out the green handle for a red one if you want to indicate it is the hot water. Oh.

I had high hopes for this hose fitting, but I was extremely disappointed. As soon as I installed it, it broke almost immediately. The fitting was so flimsy, and it couldn’t even handle a standard water pressure. I wouldn’t recommend this product to anyone looking for a reliable hose fitting. Save your money and look for something with better quality!
