I've been making sourdough bread for years and have never had a problem with mold growing on rattan proofing baskets. Personally, I am not a fan of these "resin" baskets. Without knowing what is in the "resin", I do not want to use these on food. Hopefully, the seller will update the product listing with full disclosure of the chemicals used in the resin baskets.
