Caiman Premium Split Deerskin MIG/Stick Welding Gloves, Fleece/Foam Insulation, Split Cowhide Leather Heat Shield Patch, Sock Lined Foam, Black/Gold, X-Large (1878-6)Gloves are quality deerskin, cloth lined with a thick foam insulation. I normally wear extra large size and these fit fine. The fingers won’t allow for grasping of small objects because of the insulation but they are not really any more trouble than my regular single layer gloves. They are soft and flexible so there won’t be any trouble grasping and handling your welding tools and rods. They are very well sewn. The fit is past the elbow so very good for keeping out the sparks and other hot bits. There is a metal grommet in each glove and a carabiner supplied for hanging them.

The Caiman Premium Split Deerskin MIG/Stick Welding Gloves, Fleece/Foam Insulation, Split Cowhide Leather Heat Shield Patch, Sock Lined Foam, Black/Gold, X-Large (1878-6) are well worth owning. They provide excellent protection from sparks and slag. They're very comfortable and the upper adjustment straps help keep them from sliding while working. They're soft and provide plenty of flexibility for movement of arms, wrist and fingers. These are sturdy and durable welding gloves that are a pleasure to use when welding. I'm extremely satisfied with the quality and performance of the Caiman Premium Welding gloves and consider them an outstanding value!

These deerskin welding gloves are the perfect thing for anyone looking for a bit more protection than standard gloves. They come a long way up the arm instead of just going past the wrist, so you know that a bit of flying sparks won't find its way onto your skin. They are soft on the inside and very flexible. There is extra padding in important areas to protect from prolonged exposure to heat. However, while they are soft inside, they still seem to be very resilient and I'm sure will last a LONG time. The size seems to run a bit small. I usually wear medium to large gloves (nitrile style mediums usually run tight but I use that size for increased dexterity and making sure I don't have glove material flapping around) but these are branded as extra large and still feel a tad snug. Definitely not a problem for me but if you have very large hands, order a size up from what you usually would.I also use these for grilling because I can reach right into the charcoal and move the grate around if need be.

I’ve been using the Caiman Premium Split Deerskin MIG/Stick Welding Gloves (X-Large, 1878-6) for welding, and they’ve held up really well. They fit my big hands comfortably, which isn’t always easy to find, and the deerskin leather is soft enough to move in without feeling bulky but tough enough to take a beating. The fleece lining inside makes them comfortable even during longer jobs, and they don’t make my hands sweat like some other gloves I’ve used. The heat resistance is solid, and the cowhide heat shield on the back does its job. I’ve handled some hot materials without feeling like I needed to rush. The stitching and overall construction seem durable—I haven’t noticed any fraying or wear, even when dealing with sharp edges or rough materials. One thing I didn’t expect is how well these gloves work for pruning my rose bushes. They’re long enough to protect my arms from thorns, and the leather is thick enough to keep me from getting poked but flexible enough to grip pruning tools easily. It’s like they’ve got a second life as gardening gloves, which is handy. The gloves give me good control over tools, which is a big plus for both welding and gardening. I’ve noticed a little wear on the thumbs, probably from gripping tools, but it’s not enough to be a problem yet. Overall, these gloves are tough, comfortable, and surprisingly versatile. They’ve made it into my regular rotation for more than just welding, and I wouldn’t hesitate to use them for any job where I need solid hand and arm protection.

Great quality well made welding gloves, Thick padding near upper arm, Finger issues. I usually wear a Large in men's gloves to give that extra room to move my fingers.Since this one was only available in XL, I figure I should have plenty of room to move my fingers. I can move my thumb freely but the rest of my fingers, it didn't give me much room to move them but as long as I can still grab and hold onto the handle I should be fine.

I ordered these welding gloves to use in my home welding shop. I have a Wrist to Fingertip measurement of 9 inches and an across the palm measurement of 4 1/2 inches . The gloves ordered in size XL fit perfectly. This is my first pair of Caiman Gloves and I was anxious to try this brand and I have seen nothing but good reviews for them. I am impressed with the material and build quality of the gloves! The gloves fit above my elbows and with the included padding are just snug over a Carhart brand long sleeve work shirt. The gloves include cinch straps at the uppers but I have not needed to use those. The fingertips are cut shorter than some welding gloves I have so it makes the fit great without having the tips bunch up. The palms are well stitched and well reinforced. The overall finish is a rough leather suede and allows easy grip of the welder, tools or clamps without slip and I have not noticed any significant burning on the glove leather surface from sparks.I so far really love these gloves and I think you will too. I hope my review and pictures will help you decide if they are right for your application. Thanks for reading!

I bought these for my guys and we all LOVE them! they are great for keeping that spatter from burning your arms especially while welding overhead. They are also great for handling hot parts, so you don't burn your forearm on hot oven doors or while carrying large hot items.
