Your cart is empty.Camco's Magnetic Hitch Alignment Kit is designed for one-person hook-up on the first try every time. Easily visible balls take the guesswork out of linking up your hitch. Attach one guide to the tow vehicle and one to the trailer. Guides extend to 50 inches for easy viewing, and a swivel base allows the guides to be positioned directly above hitch and receiver. This system works with virtually any tow vehicle and any trailer: gooseneck trailers, fifth wheel trailers, horse trailers and boat trailers.

These looked good, but just weren't put together well. The lightweight plastic balls flop around at the end of the arms, and makes it useless. You got a little bit of a breeze or roll over a twig and suddenly the ball is no longer lined up.

As I'm often towing on my own this saves me getting in/out to check 10 times before getting it right

I mounted using the strong magnets on the 5th wheel hitch and the trailer received. Backed up first time, using the rear view mirror and "touched" balls. Was dead on center. Had to only get out of the truck once to check the alinement and adjusted the hight of the fith wheel. Then back in truck and hooked up. Was wonderfull to not have to turn my head, whith a stiff neck to look out the rear window and try to line up. Used to take a bunch of tries. Soooooo simple now.

Good, except the balls are not good quality.Could possibly replace with tennis balls.Magnet is very strong.

For someone hooking up a trailer on your own… these really helped me. Takes me alot less time to line up the hitch and ball… feel it was worth it. The Balls on it… seem a little fragile… so I’m extra careful where I put them when storing them. Decent product…

This product is genius. Such a simple thing . One ball over the tow ball . One over the socket . Reverse and alignment is easy. Marriage saver.

My only problem is figuring out when the pink and yellow ballsare directly over the hitch ball and hitch socket. The two times I've use it so far, I've been 1/2" to 1 1/2" off toone side or the other on BOTH of them. And I was beingextra CAREFUL to do it perfectly the 2nd time and still missed. That doesn't sound like much, but my trailer is WAY too heavyto move by hand. I have to have my hitch ball directly under thehitch socket.SO I'm adding a 30" length of parachute cord to each one.Attach one end to where the rod goes into the ball, and threada 3/4oz egg sinker on the other end to act as a sort of "plumb bob".I don't use my front hitch enough to justify buying a remote camera, but if my plumb-bob idea doesn't work, I still might have to.Maybe someday they'll put a camera in for a front hitch? ... nah.

backing my truck to my camper has been a lot of hit and miss...mostly miss. I am new to the trailer stuff and at almost 50 years old, it is never too late to learn. When I backed my truck to my trailer, I was in and out of my truck several times seeing how close I was and if I was centered or not with the tongue of the trailer. I just got this kit and it was worth the money. I tried it out like a kid at Christmas and it worked wonderfully! Sure the metal is cheap like the other reviews said. You get what you pay for. Treat it nicely and it should last a long time.Thank you for the cool and simple product!

UPDATE 7/10/17:Just got back from another trip with the trailer, and once again couldn't be happier with how handy these simple devices are! I was able to quickly and easily line up, and get hooked up each time without my wife's assistance. As mentioned in my original post, with the tonneau cover blocking my view, this device was a life saver for hooking up! So much so, I had to come back here and update my review.Original Review:I recently purchased a folding Tonneau cover for my truck. While I absolutely love the cover, and the ability to keep stuff dry and secure, when hooking up to our 5th wheel for the first time after buying the tonneau cover, it became apparent quickly that with it folded up, it completely blocks my view of the hitch. My wife has really bad depth perception, and there are times I'm hooking up /unhooking alone, so needed to find a solution since the tonneau cover was staying on the truck. That is when I found these guys! Works great, leave them stored in my trailer, and really speeds up the hooking up process when taking the trailer on a trip. Definitely a good buy.

I've tried a couple versions of the alignment balls over the years. The 1st was an extending shaft with a 90 degree magnetic base. It got me close but still had to fight to get the trailer in position. This adjustable version is better because you can locate the magnet on a solid surface and align the balls above the ball and hitch. I thought this was an awesome idea after fighting for a long time with the other alignment tool. Now this sounded like a great idea. I thought I would be able to get it close enough that I could manipulate the trailer tongue enough to drop it on the hitch and save time hooking up. Unfortunately, I tried numerous times and was always an inch or two away; either over shooting, left or right. So much for a one man hook up. For smaller trailers, this wouldn't be an issue. A normal person could move the trailer tongue enough to make up the difference. Unfortunately I have a 20 ft trailer and it is not that light. Now I have yet another item cluttering up the garage that doesn't work as well in practice as it does in theory. While I am going back to using the "Couple-Mate" because it just works as long as you're using a standard drawbar and hitch ball...doesn't do anything for me with a tri-ball hitch because I can't mount the mounting bracket. That said, If you have a smaller trailer that you can wiggle a couple inches side to side, this item may work for your application. I have already ordered a replacement backup camera because this works without fail to set me perfectly in place every time.

I have been using these for about 2 months now. They make a big difference. The trick is to watch them in the rearview mirror. Line up the 2 vertical lines as you back up and then watch the balls to gauge the distance. My hitch and ball don't both have flat places for the magnets but I am able to make do. I have seen other reviews of similar products talking about them falling apart on the first use or being cheaply made. This set seems fairly sturdy. Basically it looks like a pair of walkie talkie antennas. The balls are made of a soft plastic and will not crack if they fall. They have certainly made it easier for me to hook up my TT.
