It would be a good blanket if it worked. I had it plugged in for 1 hours and it never heated up I bought it for work to lay over my lap because every place I work they keep the air conditioner on and it freezes me out so I bought it to stay warm while I am working but it does not work it has no heating controls on it or anything like that it's just plug it in and that's it and it did not heat up I had it plugged in like I said for an hour and it never even got to slightest bit warm.

We use ours when traveling in our campervan. This blanket along with a down comforter kept two of us comfortable in 12f degree weather. It is as basic as you can get however, so no temperature control, just plugged in and running or not.
