I boughy this because I absolutely love my SELPHY cp1500 so I thought I’d try the cp720 and I was expecting a brand new printer and I got a used printer with no paper tray came with no plastic covers for the ink and every other part it’s supposed to have! It’s dirty and clearly is not brand new!!! I am so disappointed I’m sending it back now get a refund and just bought another cp1500 because I know they’re great

This little printer is just what I needed for a vacation trip. I took pictures and then turned them into my own postcards. It is small enough to carry on trips.

This printer makes a photo print in less than 1 minute and the quality is pretty good. We noticed the color is a bit off from true color, but if you want truly accurate color reproduction, go to a photo lab!Complaint #1: You need to be careful about getting dust in the printer and on the paper, because any dust/lint/hair will stay on the prints.Complaint #2: The paper tray is hard to keep in correct alignment. If you don't get it just right, it won't print.Complaint #3: The ink/paper that comes with the printer is only enough for 5 prints. So you need to immediately buy more ink/paper.Praise#1: The ink/paper packs print exactly the number of prints they claim, due to how the technology works. You will know the exact cost per print depending on how much you pay for the ink/paper pack.Praise#2: You can see the photo you are about to print on the screen.Praise#3: You can send your photos to the printer in a many different ways (direct from camera, from memory card, via computer).Praise#4: The printer is very portable and compact. Easy to put away when not in use.

Initially my review of this product was not a very good one, but after using the product for over a year now, I understand how it can be a good product for photographers who are on the go.It has 4 swift passes then a picture (Not the best quality that there is, but still great) comes out and everyone is happy. The features I really like about this printer are the retractable USB cable and the ease of popping in one ink cartridge that gives as many pictures as it promises. Also, the on screen photo selection is awesome. You can select multiple pictures at the same time and even tell how many of each you want. For instance, you want one copy of photo 2 and 10, but you want three of photo 15. It'll do it with ease. you don't have to be a rocket scientist to use it either. It's also good if you edit a picture on your computer and send it back to the SD card. It prints the new photoshoped picture and all.I do a lot with photoshop and this feature alone makes it worth buying. Once you get all your images onto the card tell it to print what you want and its a go.Definitely a good buy...for the price.

Perhaps I got a bad apple, but so far I think this product is terrible. They only give you enough ink and paper for five prints, which is fine if it actually would print said five prints. Mine jammed constantly, from the first time I ran it through. I'm not even sure why it said it was "jammed" as the paper seemed to come out fine, it just stopped working. I got one print total, and afterwards couldn't get it to do anything. Apparently when you get a "jam", even if none of the ink appears on the photo paper, the printer is using up the ink ribbon (how I've no idea, there wasn't a drop of ink on my very blank photo paper). My ink ribbon went dry while I still have 4 of the blank sheets left. Hardly a value. Seems if it jams at all, you essentially lose the ink portion involved as well, and per my experience, the rest of the ink ribbon entirely. I will admit the one picture I got was very nice, photo-lab quality, but this seems to be a machine that has a whole lot of potential for wasted money.
