Good set but missed a trick, if the lower portion of the handle extension had a hole to attach the bit holder then both handles could be used with different bits attached, just a design thing

It was my first time using carbide tools and it made a difference when cutting the inside of my first Challis. Finishing the inside of a small bowl or candle holder has been a chore but not any longer. Need to obtain some more carbide tools now.

I have only been able to try them out, but they do much better than HSS tools on roughing end grain. As soon as get my lathe repaired, I will really break them in turning bowls

I like them just what I ordered and will made except they came with no blades but look like thay ought to work when I get the blades

I have looked at this kind of turning tool set before but they were always too expensive. I am terrible at sharpening. This set allows you to simply rotate the cutter to get a fresh cutting edge. When all the available sides of the cutter are used then you can sharpen the cutter or simply put a new one on it. I like the extension handle since it give you the option of having a long handle tool or just use the shorter one. I also like the internal cutter for turning bowls or vases. Great bargain at this price point. Comes complete with tools to use with the cutter changes and a sturdy metal carry case for storage to avoid damage.

These things cut like a dream on my wood lathe! They effortlessly glide across the woods surface and leave nice clean cuts you barely have to sand.

A complete, sturdy set of turning tools for about the price of a decent gouge tool. These aren't at all the profiles of traditional turning tools, but they're well thought-out, well designed, and beautifully made. The four tools are easy to switch out in the handle, just two hex nuts required to release or adjust.The carbide tips are very sharp and uniformly ground (photo), and all the tips can be reversed or simply rotated to bring up a new sharp surface: at that point they can be reground -- or replaced with new blades, also available on Amazon, for those of us with limited sharpening skills. The handle length when extended is far longer even than my longest traditional gouge (photo), for more precise placement and better handling of the cutting edge.A good and versatile set of turning tools, and a great deal especially when compared to good brand-name traditional wood-handled turning chisels.
