This is a beautiful product! I wanted so badly to enjoy the enameled "cast iron pan club", but it just isn't my cooking style, nor are my arthritic hands able to manage the pan with it's weight. It was priced well & beautiful, but I returned it, soley beacasue of "me", not the pan!

Price value. Good for multiple cooking methods. Heat dispersion on gas ranges makes cooking experience really nice.

I recently got my hands on the Carote Dutch Oven—the ultimate kitchen companion that is sure to revolutionize your cooking experience. At first, I thought this term referred to something entirely different; by that, I mean the slang term "dutch oven." It has a somewhat humorous connotation (if one is into scatalogical humor) that refers to a playful tactic involving flatulence. The idea is that one person farts under the covers of a bed or blanket and then pulls the blankets tightly over the other person, trapping the smell inside.The term is thought to have originated from the way the covers act like a pot lid, trapping the smell much like a cooking pot would. In fact, much like this Carote pot retains the heat for cooking.It’s a sturdy piece of enameled cookware, similar to a flatulence that can maintain its presence in the air with an almost chewy sense of solidity.It gets very hot, so be sure to handle it only with oven mittens or a towel.

I was surprised to see how heavy this item was..if you've got an elderly or frail person that needs a roaster I wouldn't recommend this for them..on the other hand..if that's not an issue..this weight is very impressive...it's so well made..I had thoughts it would be shaped oval like most roaster pans but this is a circle shape..the lid is also heavy and it's so well made..I've got the clay color..the blue was also a nice muted blue according to the images but I chose the reddish clay color..it looks so pretty..I invited friends over where I cooked a roast ..and they all asked where I got the pot from..they said it was a great color...the food cooked well..not too fast or slower than I wanted it to cook..THe meat and veggies came out absolutely delicious 'ive only hand washed this..I normally hand wash my pots ..it was super easy..I used regular dish washing soap let it soak for about an hour and it came out easily leaving no staining or any left stuck on or difficult to remove..it slipped right off I dried it and put it away...I've used it a couple few times since having it and I just adore this item...so glad I have this in my cooking collection I want to seek out other items made from this company...

This is an awesome Dutch oven. Super heavy duty. Can’t wait to use it for bread making. Enamel coating is awesome and it’s coated on the inside and out. Easy to clean and the price was awesome! I looked a long time before choosing this product.
