The CAT Gen 7 is the top of the line TQ, and this is the genuine article. You can buy knock-offs in bulk, but why bother and why dare? If you need to use one of these - you are trying to save life or limb. Do you really want to save a couple of bucks? I know, these aren't cheap. Again - you are trying to save a few dollars at the risk of getting a crappy product that fails when you need it. The issue is fabric decay and failure. You might carry one of these around or stored for years before you need it. A knock-off may well look good but fail after years of storage and heat damage. The C-A-T is the highest rated, well made product. It is pretty much industry standard, and the price reflects quality in this instance. Oh and the carrier is included so you are ready to go when you get it. Remove the plastic wrap - and you can reposition the belt for easy application - there are instructions on line. The MOLLE attachment works perfectly to apply these to your IFAK or pack or belt. Better safe than sorry, not sorry.
