My cat had Pyometra surgery and didn’t like the cone (didn’t blame her, the cone was too big anyway around the collar). I got this to use when I was washing the surgery onesie I also got her to keep her from messing with her stitches. She tolerated it during the first week while she was on medicine and loopy, but the moment she began to return to herself, she began to fight me a little getting it over her head. Was worth the price I paid for it!

Super cute, easy to use, comfortable, “donut” purchased to use on my cat who had orthopedic surgery, instead of using the hard, plastic, cone of shame. She tolerates this cushioned pillow device so much better than the plastic cone, and doesn’t get stressed out. She’s able to easily eat/drink, use her litter box, and sleep. It does appear to keep her from getting to her surgical site (back leg) which is why it was purchased, so that’s a win.

Updated from 2 to 4 stars.I used a needle and thread to gather the outer edge inward, toward the inner seam. This made the outer dimension smaller, so kitty no longer got her claws stuck in the fabric while using the litter box. And, it still kept her from chewing her belly stitches.Overall, this donut was much better than an E collar and worked well after a little sewing edit.Previous review:I got her a size medium, because size small is for cats under 5lbs. There are pros and cons.Pros: This collar being a donut is adorable. It being soft and ring shaped rather than a cone makes it more comfortable to lay down in and allows her to see and hear normally.Cons: Her claws get stuck in the fabric when she's in the litter box, and then she needs help. This is a serious design flaw of the donut. Imagine this happening to your cat while you're away at work. She's dealing with enough already after spay surgery. I think this wouldn't happen if the donut were of smaller outer diameter. I'm going to try to edit the donut. Will update with details if that might help anyone.

I bought this for my 3 year old kittie. It is so much easier to use than those plastic cones you get at the vets office. It's not as big as the cones so it doesn't interfere with her eating but it blocked her from licking the infected area, plus it worked just like a pillow. She slept on it most of the time. It's lighter than the cones too and it's cute as hell. I'm so glad I bought it.

Very happy with this very good quality he used it as a pillow when wearing it. It has very large, even though he is an extremely large cat it sticks out to the sides, so he had trouble when jumping into cabinets and small spaces.After being told by the vet, he had cancer will be dead in less than a year I discover after refusing surgery and treatment that he was allergic to my down comforter!!!Henry is very happy. He no longer has to wear this donut but if something happens in the future, it is such good quality. I know it’ll last for years.

This donut is really cute and compared to the plastic cone we also tried, this is much more comfortable for the cat. However, the point of this donut was do he cannot reach his neuter incision, but he can still reach it with no problem. I tried adjusting it and tightening it and he still reaches it. I will unfortunately have to return it.

This thing is a LIFESAVER. I don’t normally leave reviews but I have to for this one. My cat Willis had to have surgery and is supposed to wear a cone for 11 days before stitches come out. There’s no WAY he could have done the plastic cone for that long (the first night was not fun with the cone before the donut arrived) but he’s able to tolerate the donut just fine🥰 he even lays on it cause it’s a little pillow. Stays on too, just make sure you can fit 1-2 fingers. And he can eat and drink while wearing it. I’m sooo happy I got this for him!!

Worked on my male neutered cat. He hasn’t tried (very hard) to take this thing off yet. He can go potty with it on, but drinking water and eating food is a bit difficult. Important thing is he is not licking his neutered surgical site, which he was licking excessively prior to me putting this on him. Way less invasive than a plastic e-collar. He slept in bed comfortably all night with this thing on. My cat is about 9.8 lbs. long haired and quite big for a 7 month old kitten and the Medium size fit perfectly. It also has a tightener around the neck just in case. Highly recommend.
