I got this in hopes that it would calm my cat down and not beat up on one of my other kitties. I find that a lot of times when you put a harness on a cat it will tame them so I thought why not a jacket for it and see if that works. However this was slightly small for my cat. She's probably about 10 lb with a fairly long body and I feel as if it choked her a bit. If she had a shorter torso it may have been perfect. I think it looks absolutely adorable on her, I think she would say the opposite though I'm pretty sure she hates me now that I put her in it

My sweet baby girl got spayed and I got this as an alternative to a cone, of course she didn’t like it at first and she walked as if it weighed a ton lol but once she got used to it, she learned how to maneuver in it better and I still think it’s way better than having to see her walk around in a cone all day. I take it off every couple days for about 10 minutes to give her a break while I monitor her so she doesn’t lick and I also check her surgery site twice a day but she’s been able to go to the bathroom like normal and her incision site is healing normally and she’s currently on day 9 since surgery

This is pretty well made and will be great for post-neuter/spay surgery for our foster kittens. We got another that was listed for kittens, but was way too big. This one is closer to the mark. Rescue kittens can generally have spay/neuter surgery after 2 lb / 1 kg. This will be roomy at that size, and will fit nicely for a bit bigger. Some kittens won't like this, but many should get used to it. It will be a great alternative to the "cone of shame". I'm really glad to have both in my toolkit to accommodate different kitty personalities.

I ordered this for my 7lb cat who overgrooms, she typically wears dog shirts in a size small but I figured we’d try this since it’s a whole bodysuit. I got the medium and it was definitely fitting. I thought it was super cute especially with the alpaca print and the fact that she looked like a baby in it but she thought otherwise and immediately acted like it was the worst thing ever, that she could no longer walk and was obviously plotting her revenge. It was easy to put in with 2 people, it did leave enough room in the back for her to handle her business. It feels soft and is easy to wash. If she didn’t despise it so much, I’d put it on her often but i will stick to her shirts that she doesn’t mind instead. I will hold onto it incase she ever has surgery or needs to use it. I think it’d be a great option for cats recovering from surgery, just make sure you’re ordering the right size because I feel like if I had went up a size maybe she wouldn’t have hated it so much.

I typically order extra small onesies for this kitty, but this time took a chance on the small. Looks like she’s grown a bit because the small fits perfect! I put these onesies on her because she will excessively groom and remove all of her fur and she is always cold. She would much rather have my lap or a heated blanket, but I’m not home all the time! Wearing the onesie also calms her anxiety down tremendously, making her a cat that I can pick up without a track meet race to catch her first. She, of course, has a different opinion on this. It took her all of 1 minute to wiggle out when she decided she had it on long enough. It is well made, though. The material has just enough stretch to allow freedom of movement and the Velcro connects securely on the outside, so it does not rub against her skin and it leaves room on her rear end to do her business. This onesie was provided to me by the Vine program, but it would have been a worthwhile purchase on its own.

This style of recovery suit is a must have for any post surgery cat! My Hazel kitty had to have one when she was spayed because she wouldn't leave her belly alone, and the cone of shame makes it SO difficult for cats to eat and drink. Hazel now weighs 9.8lbs, so this Large suit fit her pretty well. It's a little loose in the back end, but because it has a drawstring neck and hook and loop back closure, she can't get it off. She was perfectly capable of using the bathroom normally and the suit didn't hinder any toileting activities. The design of the back end of this suit should also allow boy cats to use the box normally too.Your cat will acclimate to these recovery suits the more they wear them. At first, they may lay down and act like they can't move. They may walk funny, and get around a lot more slowly. That's actually a good thing! You don't want a fresh surgery incision to be irritated due to an overactive kitty. Hazel wore a recovery suit for almost six weeks because she developed seromas around her incision from being too active. To wash the recovery suit, be sure you put the scratchy side of the hook and loop together with the soft side so that it doesn't make pulls in the suit while it's in the washer. I let mine air dry because I didn't trust the dryer to not stretch it out. These recovery suits are such a great idea! I did try to make my own out of an old shirt, but it wasn't a successful sewing project. For the time I put into making my own, I would have much rather paid the money for a manufactured one. My creation worked while the one I bought was being shipped though. I believe these suits speed up recovery time, when used from the beginning. Don't wait until there's a problem to put your cat in a suit. Go ahead and use it post surgery to limit healing issues.
