To my surprise, this worked pretty well with my telescope. Got some decent pictures of the lunar eclipse. I did have to adjust the balance of the telescope to accommodate the extra weight of this and the phone. The blue tooth remote worked great. As this being the first attempt using the phone for something like this, will have to experiment with settings.

I have a Celestron/Orion Dobson telescope. So when I seen this item. I wanted to see how well it worked. It’s a bit clumsy. It doesn’t align well. The Focal point between phone camera and telescope eye piece is difficult to achieve.

Very well made and fits the lens without any hassle. The added Bluetooth camera fob makes this a no brainer for me.

The adapter itself works well for the most part. The adapter is generically described as "works with the latest phones" ... but I have no idea when they wrote that. The adapter is just barely big enough to reach the camera on my iPhone 13 Max Pro with Otterbox case. Also, it seems that the phone is so heavy that the adapter can't hold it straight. I'm not sure if the hinge is part of the problem or just the weight of the phone, but I can't get a good flat alignment between the camera and the eyepiece.Another issue is that the iPhone 13 has 3 cameras on the back. The iPhone will (apparently) decide, while you're trying to align the camera with the eyepiece, that the picture is too dark and switch to a different camera... over and over and over again. So I guess I need something with a fully covered "backstop" that only allows a hole for the camera, rather than the open-back style of this adapter.(Plus I stepped on it by mistake and crushed it. :( So important tip -- it will not support 200 lbs.)

Fairly easy setup.I did not expect much for my cell phone to take a picture this way, but I got a surprisingly great shot of the lunar eclipse 5.15.2022. It includes a remote shutter release so you don't have to touch the phone to take the shot.
