It took my cat a couple days to transition to using this fountain from a different stainless steel fountain I previously had. I think it’s because it’s so pretty that she wasn’t sure if she was meant to drink from it, but it’s such a gorgeous piece of ceramic and very true to the rich color in the picture. Once adjusted, she started drinking so much more water because of how much it holds! I also love how quiet it is. And it’s MUCH easier to clean than my previous fountains I’ve tried, and I’ve tried a LOT! It is a little heavy to lift when it’s full, so I find that after washing it, it’s easiest to place it back when it’s empty and fill the fountain using a pitcher or something else, and then plug it in. It stayed in my cart for a while before I purchased it, so if you’re in that position, I couldn’t recommend this fountain more. It’s by far the best one I’ve purchased over the years. And they even include a replacement pump so it’s a great bang for your buck!

I was so worried about buying this because of the mixed reviews but I said screw it and got it anyways and it's been working great its been about 3 months ish and still working as it should I've even taken it apart a couple times to clean it one thing tho is I do not like the little filters they make the water smell weird and taste bad so I do not use those but it's pretty silent and sturdy and I like that it has a backup pump haven't had to change mine yet so that's cool too also looks nice I'm glad I got it

My wife and I bought this fountain for a cat that we just adopted. The very first thing the cat gravitated toward was this water fountain. We bought the green version and we both find it visually appealing. It's not an eye-sore like some of the fountains you'd find in a cat shelter. Assembly was pretty straightforward. Don't forget to run the filter itself under cold water prior to installing it, and don't forget to wrap the foam padding _around_ the filter/pump unit when adhering the pump to the base of the ceramic bowl. When we plugged it in, we were amazed how quiet it was. It hardly makes a sound! The unit itself ships with an extra pump, which we were thankful for, but pumps are cheap and will be easy to replace with constant use. Overall, we are very happy with the quality of this fountain.

I got this fountain for my miniature Dachshund, to encourage her to drink more water as she has kidney disease. I thought the fountain would be smaller than it is, but it's actually a really nice size - she doesn't need to put her head down to drink and she has the option of lapping from the pool of water or from the cascade of water coming down. I love that the bowl and "tower" are ceramic. It's relatively easy to clean, though - as with any fountain - it's difficult to be assured you are thoroughly cleaning the inner workings of the few plastic parts that make up the pump assembly and charcoal filter holder. As others have mentioned, I have made sure to clean it religiously and run some vinegar through it when cleaning, to help remove any hard water residue that may inhibit the pump in the future. But speaking of the pump - I'm thrilled there is a back-up pump with this unit, just in case. If there's any one thing I wish could be different it would be to have the ability to disconnect it from the power closer to the bowl. As it is, when you unplug to carry the bowl anywhere, you have a long cord trailing - it would be great if there was a disconnect point part way along the cord instead. But this is just a minor preference on my part. I'm happy with all other aspects of this fountain!

I was a little hesitant to buy this - I've always used stainless steel for my cats' bowls, and the fountains that are stainless steel are widely cheaper than this - but I read on reddit that if you're looking to cut down on slime, that ceramic was the way to go. So I spent just a little more than I was planning to on this fountain and it was worth every penny. My oldest cat took to it immediately, and my youngest quickly followed him. Which is what you're always worried about when you buy a pet something - that you'll spend a lot of money and they won't take to it - no problem here.The fountain itself is attractive, you could probably set it on a table if you were so inclined and use it as a centerpiece. The blue color I received was wonderful, the gradient coloring means it matched all the blue in my kitchen.There's very little plastic in it, you get an extra motor, not that I've needed it. The sponge filter cleans easily. The fountain itself cleans up nice in the dishwasher, but in the time I've had it, it has never need much more than a light rinse and wipe.It's remarkably quiet. Incredibly sturdy. Assembly is easy. Works great as soon as you get it together and plugged in. It's heavy, your cats are not going to be able to move this around when its full - my 15 lb orange boy can attest.And the cats are drinking so much more now. I fill it back up almost every day. Never thought something like this would make such a difference, but it has. Honestly wish I could another right now - maybe in the future.

Love this fountain compared to a few others I have tried. Way easier to clean and it looks nice too.
