The top or lid has a tiny nipple to pick up lid. It is toooo small and slick, hard to hold onto. I put some tiny round stickers on the lid so I would have a semi secure grip. I would not recommend

I bought this for a sugar bowl and it was way too small. Ended up using it for Splenda. Double check the dimensions before buying.

This is so pretty and well made- except the lid is very slippery because of the tapered knob. Other than that, I absolutely love this (just hope I don’t break it by accident!!).

I absolutely love this little pot. It's perfect for any spice (I use mine for black pepper). Very sturdy and beautifully made. However, there have been several negative reviews here regarding how small it really is. Before you buy, please be aware that, despite the manufacturer's description and the somewhat deceptive photos they provide, it is definitely NOT suitable to use as a sugar bowl (unless you use only 1/4 teaspoon at a time).
