I'd expected this little salt cellar to be quite good, but I was pleasantly surprised at its weight (because I don't read those product dimensions with a set of weights in my hand for comparison ... do you?) and the no-slip bottom it has. I couldn't ask for a more perfect little stove-side companion. Exactly what I wanted, and a little better than I honestly believed I would get. Definitely recommend it.Could be a nice little stocking stuffer for the right person, too.

This is described as a kitchen object, a pinch bowl, and a salt bowl. It's certainly too shallow for the latter. I would hesitate to keep salt—or any fine material—in it because the grains would waft away in the breeze. The bowl simply isn't very deep.The bowl is smooth and well polished. The inside is evenly turned and also smooth, although it isn't brought to a mirror polish like the outside.The sides of the bowl are thick and robust. I don't worry about accidental chipping, although I do take care as it is marble. I wouldn't throw keys in this bowl, but it would make a lovely ring bowl.I wish I had known that there is a felt pad on the bottom of the bowl's base. This pad is adhered with glue and cannot be easily removed.It's better used as a bowl to hold objects no larger than dried berries. I use it as an offering bowl on my altar. Being marble, I can use it for liquids without worrying that it will discolor like a metal bowl. I also bought this object in black. The white/black symbolism fits in perfectly with my altar and offerings. I highly recommend this if you're looking for a white offering bowl. It's just the right size.

I bought a couple of these to use as ring holders. I have one in the kitchen and one in the bathroom so that I can put my engagement ring in a designated spot and keep it safe and clean while I'm cooking, showering, etc. It's just the right size for this purpose. The bowl is not very deep, but it's enough that my ring sits securely. These are also very solid and sturdy, so I don't worry about them getting knocked over. The felted bottom means it won't slip around. This is important because I have two pesky cats who like to knock stuff off the counter.

This is a smaller marble bowl, but I love it. It's perfect for holding several small crystals, or a small handful of herbs. I also use mine to burn herbs for cleansing and have had no issues. This bowl is super thick for it's size! You can tell as soon as you pick it up and feel the weight. Again, this bowl is small, but if you're just needing something for your altar/to keep herbs, salts, or crystals in, it's perfect. The quality and look of the marble is great for such a small piece.

This little marble salt bowl arrived in a padded envelope and was in good shape. It is small, perfect for specialty salts and looks pretty on the counter or stove-top. It is polished on the outside and has a matte finish on the inside. The bottom features a rubbery base to protect the marble. This is a perfect gift for a cook or as a hostess gift. My sister will like it!

This is a well-made Cute bowl. I originally had got a 4 ounce marble bowl from target that was supposed to be for dipping sauces. I used it for my cat’s feeding bowl but it ended up falling off the table and breaking. I ordered this as a replacement not realizing that it’s only about 1 ounce as opposed to 4 ounces. It also had this black foam pad on the bottom with a sticker on it. I ended up just rubbing it off with my thumb so it was in its natural state. I’m going to keep it because it’s cute and you could use it for other things like spices salt or cosmetics. The photos were definitely deceiving because they make the bowl look larger. I’m going to include a photo of my old bowl next to the new, small bowl also.

Ne ho acquistate 3 e probabilmente ne prenderò un'altra.Carinissime!Si possono usare per il sale e le spezie, ma anche per qualche salsina.Sono piccine ( diametro 7 cm - altezza 3.5) ma rifinite benissimo con il feltrino alla base.Essendo di marmo la variegatura differisce leggermente da una all'altra e le rende ancora più belle!Consigliate.Spedizione dagli USA molto veloce: una settimana circa!

I bought this bowl while zipping through the site buying a number of things cooking related. I guess you could say it was an impulse buy. I thought it would be great to have the three bowls for salt, pepper, etc. on the counter when cooking. What I didn't realize is that you only get one bowl for the price, not three as in the picture. My bad for not paying attention I guess.I bought the black bowl and it arrived with two small nicks. It wasn't wrapped in anything protective -- just thrown in the box with everything else. I'm planning to keep it rather than go through the expense of shipping it back. Otherwise it seems nice and high quality. Not sure now whether I want to get the white one to complete the set.Finally -- why is it that companies put tags and stickers in hard to remove spots. The bottom of the bowl has a neoprene pad (so it doesn't slide around on your counter). It's nice, but they slapped a sticker on there that says "hand wash only" that is impossible to remove without also peeling off bits and pieces of the pad. Unfortunate.
