Accuracy ≠ Precision (not interchangeable) Gonna nerd out at y'all - brace yerselves! Precision is directly related to resolution -- the number of digits to the right of the decimal point. It's also related to how well a system of measurement repeats,Accuracy is related to how close a measurement system is faithful to a *known, trusted* standard.All these cheap-ish lab scales are neither very precise or accurate. They repeat fairly well if you keep the temperature stable and keep wind/vibration away. It's the chinese way of thumbing their noses at the West - "You onry want cheeep, - no good!

This balance is similar in design to several I’ve used throughout my career in petroleum laboratories. It arrives with a calibration weight and holds calibration very well. I use it at home to perform density measurements on jewelry I find metal detecting on beaches.. Very pleased with this purchase.
