I'm excited about these! Super easy to set up. Felt sturdy. It was very easy and quick to mount and came with different tones and volume on the speaker. You have two options to mount, either 3m tape or velcro stickies. I used the velcro on my glass door and it holds well so far. My dog pushed the button after a few times of doing this and I was ecstatic! Great tool to know when to take the pups outside.

I had been thinking about training my dog to use the "talk" buttons, so when I saw this I knew I wanted to give it a try. And, really, the thing I wanted her to do was tell me when she needed to go outside. The product is simple to set up - plug in the bell, then attach a button on or near the door you use to take your pet outside. My dog is good with the sit, stay, and stop commands and was easy to train so I thought this would be relatively easy. Oh, how wrong I was. No matter how many times I try to get her to notice the push button, she ignores it. Unfortunately, I had a family emergency and everything else went out the window for a while so I need to restart her training. I think eventually she'll get it because she's extremely motivated by food. The dog bell comes with a guide with links to what they state are video guides, but are actually a printed training guide. The instructions are essentially to start with one door only, be consistent, give a treat immediately when the dog pushes the button, and if the dog abuses the bell, ignore it.

This dog door bell is awesome! It is easy to use for both the dog and by humans (re: setup). I like that there is the option for Velcro or permanent tape. NOTE: use the Velcro. When the battery dies, you have to be able to remove the door bell from the wall in order to unscrew the back to replace the battery. My puppy is picking up fast that she should touch the door bell in order to go outside to use the bathroom. It is touch activated (and it doesn’t take much to set it off…making it easy for dogs). Dogs can touch it with their paw or nose to ring the bell.I love that there are many different ring tones to choose from. Overall, this is sold at a decent price ($22.99). I would recommend this to my friends and family. It is so much nicer than the tradition dangling bell. It looks cleaner. For those with cats, it makes it easier to have a bell that the dog will ring that the cats will not be tempted to bat around like a dangling bell. The only con I found was the Velcro backing does not match up right with the door bell. It should be more rounded so it fits on the back appropriately. But overall, this is a very minor thing.

Dog learnt to use it within a day, easy to install, and quality is amazing, though it picks up everything and anything, a shadow goes over it beep, you live next to neighbors like in apartments I don't know what sets it off- but beep, all. The time.

We have always had a bell on the back door for the dogs to ring when the want to go out. Our Sheltie, Gino, thinks the bell is a toy. He rings it even when the door is open. Unfortunately all the bell ringing has scratched the door and casing, so I needed another solution. This doorbell came with excellent instructions, with a code to get videos for each step of installation. The instructions were clear enough that I didn’t need the video, but some people prefer watching vs reading. My dogs go crazy whenever the doorbell rings, even on tv. I immediately had to change the ring tone. It took less than a minute.I applied the hook and loop to the back of the doorbell and hung in place. Gino found it and rang it. Only once! I have the receiver plugged in under the island, about 5’ from the doorbell. I can hear the ring tone from anywhere on the first floor and sometimes upstairs, if there is no barking. He used it a few more times and went out every time. This is a win, as long as Gino doesn’t think it’s a toy.

I love this doggy doorbell so much! I no longer have to guess when my pups need to go out and go potty. Training them to use it is more difficult than connecting these to your door they go outside with. Ya attach either the velcro or the dual sided sicsky piece on the back of the touch pad and then you stick one outside the door and one inside the door plug in the alerting door chime box and wahlah all connected. Then to train your poochies how to alert you is to put peanut butter on the touch pad. just a tiny bit to get them to lick the door chime is perfect. Otherwise you can treat train them to use their paws to touch the pad. Once they learn the door will open so they can go do their business, they will alert you so easily.

I can't believe how quickly my 8 month old puppy learned to use this! It's so easy to set up, and the instructions are pretty clear. It comes with everything you need. The dog can ring the bell easily by just touching it with her nose; she doesn't have to necessarily use her paw. I placed the receiver on the floor near the door, and I rang the bell for her before we went out to show her how to do it. I'm using the bell for her to tell me when she has to go potty. Within a few tries, she understood the assignment. I gave her a lot of praise when she rang the bell and went potty. If she rang the bell but didn't go potty, I didn't praise her. I was afraid that she'd start ringing the bell just for attention, but she hasn't been doing that. The product seems well made and comes with batteries installed. I'm not sure if there's a warning sound to indicate low batteries, but that would be nice.
