Step 1: Place the dashed line of the desired CUT size on the seam line of an unpressed half-square triangle.
Step 2: With the rotary cutter, trim the two sides of the half square triangle.
Step 3: Keep the trimmer in place. Trim the dog ears using the edge slots on each side that align with the chosen size. Trimming is now complete.

This trimmer makes sense to my brain!!I love the fact that you trim before you press!!I have the entire set of Clearly perfect trimmers and I use them daily.Worth the price, so easy to line up on the stitch line and cut. Trimming the little dogears make a big difference.

I love the regular set and finally splurged for the in between sizes. you have to find a square up tool that works for you but these are definitely my favorite!
