They are sturdy but I really wish I had returned them. I did not find them easy to use but perhaps my rectangles were too small 2 x 4

I have several Bloc Loc rulers, although a bit pricey, they are easy to use and help greatly with accuracy.

The included instruction gives measurements for rectangles to cut, unfinished size and the size you'll have in the finished piece.You will have more to trim away on the short sides and not much at all on the long sides. Very important to stitch with a SCANT 1/4".So far, these are turning out well and I expect pretty neat perfect points in my project.

Before I bought this tool, I found it hard to make perfect points with half rectangle triangle blocks because the angle isn’t 45°. It’s just off a little bit, and this ruler completely solves that problem. The price was pretty off-putting, I have to admit. However, when I received the order and realized there are two rulers, one for each direction, because each direction is different, it made it a little easier to swallow the price. I look forward to using these for many years in the future.

I was not so impressed by the expense but, I ordered it any way. It comes in a set actually, a left side ruler and a right side ruler. They fall right into place with your seam and there’s no toggling of the ruler -like a regular ruler is when you trim the half square triangles. Unbelievable accuracy! Happy customer!

Was doubtful about the whole premise of locking on to the seam allowance but I was wrong. Works great, slides easily along the seam allowance to make it easy to line up the block for trimming. Instructions are clear. There’s a little skill to develop as far as lining it up and not stretching the fabric out of shape - best results occur if you keep your iron hot and ready to give a firm press that will keep the fabric locked in place while you line up the ruler. My first few rows of blocks I cut with this ruler were not totally perfect (although still close enough to not cause massive problems), but after I got it down all of my points came out perfect and sharp. I like it enough that when I saw the Bloc Loc flying geese ruler in a quilting store I picked it up to have on hand.
