I have several of these since I have those wire shelves in all my closets. This provides a bar for hanging when I hook it to the top wire shelf. It is just the right height .There is really no assembly .You can use them full length as I did or double the hanging cords over for a shorter version.

Think about how you are wanting to use these and where, before purchasing. These were easy to assemble, but are very wobbly and can't how very much clothing/weight. The hangers and clothing easily slides to one side and will fall off if weight isn’t accurately distributed. Overall, I was super disappointed.
