So I bought this bit to drill out guitars for end pin pickup jacks. It was advertised as being able to drill stainless steel, so what is a 12mm hole thru about an inch thickness of mahogany - nothing right?Let me tell you just how bad it was - A bit like this should require very little pressure to drill thru wood. I had to apply lots of pressure even to the point of needing a pilot hole using another drill bit. Ok, I did that and every step this so called "step bit" went thru I had to push very hard. After pushing from 4mm to 6mm (six steps to go) with the wood beginning to smoke and heat up I stopped. Do not buy this bit if you want it to cut anything. I am returning it promptly.
