When it comes to Ryobi battery chargers, this charger definitely wears many hats. Whether it's a 12v, 14.4v or 18v battery, this charger can handle it. And, as far as battery chemistry, it has your back with: Li-ion, Ni-Cd or Ni-MH charging. It offers 2 amps of charging for Li-ion batteries and 1.5 amps for Ni-Cd or Ni-MH. It includes all the safety factors you would want to charge your batteries safely and for longevity.The case has a robust feel to it. I like its physical layout:* It is corded, meaning no wall-wart to deal with.* The cord is detachable for tidier storage.* The case has a charging guide so you can determine exactly what the LED lights indicate.* The batteries securely and easily mount into the charging port.* Its not-to-be-ignored color leaves no guessing as to what brand of battery it is for.During charging cycles, I could not detect any excessive warmth coming from the charger. It charged my two 4Ah batteries quickly.The one feature I would have liked to see is a wall mount option. This is exclusively a tabletop charger.

I misplaced my original charger and was shocked at how expensive they were in the store so I tried this one and I'm happy to say it seems to work exactly the same as the original. The LED lights make it easy to see the progress and it seems to charge at just about the same speed.

I have two new 6 Amp batteries and two older 3 Amp batteries. This charger does a suitable job of restoring the batteries back to a full charge. This off-brand charger didn't charge as fast as my Ryobi brand fast charger, but I didn't expect them to be equals. This one takes about a 33% longer amount of time to charge the batteries compared to my Ryobi fast charger. The charger is slightly smaller than my original Ryobi fast charger, as can be seen in my included picture.I enjoy having this as a second charger to use at my house. I recently got a Ryobi 18V lawnmower which requires two batteries to be used. Pairing this new charger with my original fast charger helps my workflow when mowing, blowing, and trimming.

I have many Ryobi One+ 18 volt power tools and recently picked up extra compatible aftermarket batteries. I found myself with 5 batteries but only one charges. I wanted a second charger for when I am working in the yard or on a large project because the batteries drain faster than they charge and I sometimes found myself waiting for a fully charged battery.This battery charger works well with my Ryobi branded batteries and with the aftermarket batteries I got here on Amazon. The charger functions exactly like the one I received in my tool set. It charges the batteries at about the same rate as the original and gets them just as fully charges. After I fully charged batteries on each charger I swapped to see if one charger could give a little extra juice but both batteries indicated full charge.The charger has circuitry to preven overchare and that seems to work well. I have charged batteries from 1.5 mAh to 6 mAh on the charger. All work perfectly on the charger and do not overheat or emit any ozone smell while charging.If you need an extra charging station or if your original fails on you, this is a good option. The price is about half, or less, than a similar unit at HD and the performance is comparable. This is a no-brainer purchase.

I really love this RYOBI charger! It works with all my RYOBI batteries and charges them pretty quickly—I was able to power up my drill in about 30 minutes and jump right into my woodworking project. The battery status indicator is super helpful, especially since it tells you if a battery is bad (which my original charger didn’t do). Plus, the price is surprisingly affordable—I expected to pay more for a quality charger like this. Highly recommend!
