Arcadia Garden Products Worm Chow - Jump & Jive Blend - 2 lbs, Wormeries, Vermiculture, Worm Feeding, Worm Nutrition (WN37)

An active worm is a hungry worm! If worm farming or worm care is part of your routine, then this worm chow is the solution you’ll want. They may not have eyes or teeth, but worms can sure eat! As they gobble and graze through their dark moist environment, worms seek satisfying foods that fuel their bodies to thrive and reproduce. Those who have raised worms recognize the value of providing foods that worms enjoy while also answering their nutritional needs. Yes, worms need proteins, fats, minerals, vitamins, and carbohydrates for good health - that’s where our special worm chow blends enter the picture. With multiple ingredient blends offered, Worm Nerd’s Worm Chow makes it easy to give your worms a variety of nutritional ingredients they love without the inconvenience and cost of buying each ingredient individually. Similar to humans, worms prefer some foods over others, and a varied diet loaded with nutrients is a great way to make your worms happy. Ideal for use as regular food or as a meal supplement, Worm Nerd’s Worm Chow: Jump & Jive Blend is made from quality ingredients sourced for added worm nutrition. This formulated blend features oatmeal, coffee grounds, cornmeal, alfalfa, and pulverized oyster shells – all ingredients that worms enjoy as well as the vitamins and nutrients they need. Worms also have special sensor cells to direct them to various food sources and, because worms love coffee grounds, worms can use these sensors to actively migrate toward coffee grounds in the bin. Spreading the Jump & Jive Blend in different parts of the bin keeps your worms moving, and both the coffee grounds and oyster shells provide grit to aid in digestion and keep your worms eating! As with any new food, introduce the chow to your worms gradually. Sprinkle the worm chow on top of the worms’ bedding using the scoop provided. Lightly spray the chow with non-chlorinated water to dampen. The amount of chow served will depend on your worm population size. Adjust the amount as needed, making sure all the worm chow is consumed before adding more to avoid overfeeding. Be sure to monitor your worm bin’s pH level (ideally between 6.0 – 7.0) as excessive amounts of coffee can potentially disrupt the pH balance of the worm bin.

Beautiful fat healthy wiggles. These worms are the best worms I’ve ever had. I occasionally need to start my bins fresh and was buying from another company -UJs - that company was disappointing. I’m so glad I have a new source.

I've had different results from another worm supplier (the last 2 batches arrived dead and moldy) so this was my first order with this company and we are thrilled with the worms. They are spunky, very happy, already multiplying, and producing amazing soil from our compost. Ordering next batch next week!

They come pretty dry but I just dump them into my bin and make sure to have a well mixed quality of food scraps and shredded paper or card board. It only took about a month to see a couple of baby eggs!! They’re thriving! I bought a temperature thermometer to make sure their environment is perfect, overall great purchase!!

This is a giant back of healthy worms. They smell like fresh dirt, not the weird chemicals you get from baitstore worms. They were wriggling fine when I opened it but saw the instructions that said to add some spring or distilled water to help reinvigorate them. You CANT use chlorinated water! Luckily I had some spring water and added it slowly . The sprung to life ! Anyway I spread them over my lawn over two rainy days, several weeks later I am now seeing castings all over the lawn. :)

A month after arriving on time, my worms are thriving in their in-ground vermicompost bin. Considering adding another bin and will reorder more works for that bin.

I ordered 500 worms for a school project. The worms were delayed in shipping and upon opening the bags, all but 3 worms were dead! They looked as if they had melted together. 🥴 The smell coming from the bags was awful.
