Purchased as replacement for vintage baker of same size. Lid is correct size but does not fully close. There are wonky gaps that allow steam to escape a bit. Will continue using with care to hold the lid on.

Dropped the lid for one of my favorite casseroles a few years ago and chipped the edge. I have been trying to find a replacement for some time and came across an ad for Corning Ware on Amazon and found the perfect replacement lid. A little different than the original but fits perfectly. When I can't find something anywhere, Amazon usually fills the bill.

More than 30 years ago, I purchased a Corningware set. A few years later one of my children drop the 1.5 quart French white bakeware dish (on my marble kitchen floor) and the lid broke, but the dish was okay. While browsing thru Amazon recently, I saw a corningware set. I clicked on the icon a saw that replacements were available. I ordered the 1.5 glass lid and it fits perfectly. The set is complete again and continues to look beautiful on my dinner table. I couldn't give the glass lid a 5-star rating for durability because the product is glass and glass breaks, but the quality of the lid (like the entire set) is 10-stars. My set(s) contains 12 pieces and three of those pieces are stands for the larger bakeware. After 30(+) years, the bakeware is still white and lids are crystal clear.

It arrived the next day after I had gone to the corning ware outlet and could not find the top. Our lid broke and we needed a replacement. I looked at the bottom of my casserole I was able to find the numbers to match this to the lid on Amazon. It fits great and the price was right. I would not send this as a gift but the complete bottom and lid would make a great gift.

Exact fit, none of the covers fit tight like they did when CorningWare was made in the US. This one is the right one meant for the 1.5 quart French White Oval collection and it arrived very quickly. I’m not sure what the comments are about making sure you know it’s just the cover not the entire dish because it clearly says it’s just the cover.
