No adapter needed. Couldn't tell for sure if a right angle connector would have worked for me since it needs to go down across the heatsink assembly, but this straight one looks... OK. Wish there was a shorter version as I have a lot coiled up in my case and it's a bit on the stiff side.

Failed after about 6 months of use. One day computer wouldn't display suddenly. Traced the problem back to this faulty cord. New cable instantly fixed the problem. They look nice but perform horrible.

Ce câble corsair est d’excellente qualité et même dans un grand boîtier comme le Phanteks NV7 qui très grand et avec une alimentation très éloignée, le cable est assez long sans avoir besoin de le plier avant les 3 premiers centimètres derrière la connectique 12vhpwr.En plus l’alimentation puisée sur seulement 2 connexion PCIE 8 pins mon l’alimentation corsair rm1000x suffit largement pour ma rtx 4090 msi suprim X.Je conseille ce cable semi rigide, il vaut son prix et si vous voulez conserver une belle apparence je vous conseille de prendre des peignes de cable pour les tenir groupés dans le boîtierVous pouvez le voir en vidéo sur ma chaîne YouTube : KOYU GEEK

Did away with the three required power cables going to my rtx 4090. With all three Cosair-supplied power cables the inside of my computer was a mess. The added extenders Corsair puts on the end of a cable made it difficult to insert all three into the video card. This product solves the problem.

I have a 4090, and this is the only cable I trust with it. Unlike both my Nvidia supplied adapter and my Cablemod cable, this 12vhpwr connector only clicks when fully seated, and it can't be wiggled out at all unless I engage the latch - as it should be.4090's are known to sometimes melt at the connector, and the root cause of this has been connectors that are allowed to back out 1-2 mm before the latch prevents furter backing out. Even if you confirm proper seating on install, many of these connectors work themselves out a little, and then melting occurs. It's a poor design that was rushed into manufacturing, so you really have to watch this.The other reason connectors melt is because they use a 3-dimple crimp contact instead of the 4-spring design that offers greater contact surface area. The 3-dimple can create hotspots unless perfectly installed. This Corsair cable installs perfectly AND uses 4-spring crimps, so it is the most secure cable I've found. In contrast, my Cablemod cable uses 3-dimple crimps and also can be backed out, so I'll never use it.

If you own the 40 series cards and realize how ugly the cable makes your case looks and the fact they want you to run either 3 or 4 straight 8 pins to it this cable works like a beast with no performance loss!!
