This is a fantastic set. There are four different sized bits for boring holes of different sizes. One set screw secures the plot drilling bit, and the second set screw secures the depth guide. It's a very intuitive setup, and the depth guide works very well. There are measurements marked on the side to indicate the exact depth the countersunk hole will burrow. The outer white portion og the guide will easily rotate until you reach the intended depth, after which it will press I to the rigid portion of the guide and halt rotation. Is a very nice and easy to understand system that clearly indicates that you're done. Additionally, the set comes in a very nice and organized case that hols all pieces, including the allen key needed for the set screws.

I'm a handyman by trade, and I do a lot of woodworking. I recently burned up my last countersink but set, so I turned to Amazon to find a replacement. This kit looked good, so I thought I'd give it a try.One of the first things I like about this kit, was the fact it included several replacement bits all included in a small case. I also appreciate the fact that it uses a 1/4" chuck, so I can use it easily with my impact driver(my preferred tool). The drill bit and countersink blade are super sharp, cutting cleanly into the wood without issues. The bit holder has an adjustable depth stop, which is awesome! You can set the depth of your countersink, creating repeatable and precise holes.I just finished up a project adding frames around the exterior of about 10 windows, where I drilled about 50 countersunk screw holes to mount the frames. This kit did a great job, and the bit I used is still plenty sharp. This kit seems very durable and well made, all at about half the price of the kit at Home Depot.

This countersink set works well but is a bit fussy and bit difficult to get the countersink height to be precisely set on the first time. As you can see from the pictures, I did two screws, both of which were fine, but there is a bit of a learning curve. The way this set works is that you have two adjustment screws. The first is for the length of the depth of the hole you want to drill for the screw. That why I show the one picture showing the drill bit being about as long as the screw itself. There are four drill bits and four counter sink head sizes - all interchangeable. The drill bit fits inside the countersink bit with an set screw that is set with an allen wrench. It's not too hard to do.Slipping on the outside of countersink bit is a depth stop for the countersink bit. On the outside of the countersink bit there are markings for the depth of the countersink itself. This depth stop also has a set screw that is set with the allen wrench. But its fit against the countersink bit is not as tight and tends to slip slightly as you're turning the allen wrench. Thus as you can see for the second (and different depth) screw, it was not as deep on the countersink depth, though I meant to make it the same depth. It still looks good enough, but was slightly shallower. The good part about this set is if you're sinking many screws, it will repeat over and over and over so they will all be counter sunk to the same depth. It does the job, even though it's a bit fussy, it's still pretty useful - this gives it a good solid 4 stars in my book.************** VINE Notice ************************Even though I have been given this product as part of a VINE review by Amazon, my reviews are honest and not influenced by receiving the product. Quite frankly, I could buy this if I wanted it, and I am doing these reviews for fun. I am a 65 year old guy and have appreciated the very clear and detailed reviews on Amazon. I started leaving my own and was selected to give these for products that I wanted to look into. But I will call a dog a dog.*************** Explanation of Rating System *************************My rating system.1 star - terrible. I wouldn't consider buying it.2 stars - marginal at best. Doesn't meet the minimum requirements or quality to be useful. Buy it at your own risk.3 stars - average. Meets the quality and requirements for a product of this type but is nothing out of the ordinary. If the price is good, I'd probably buy it.4 stars - better than average. Exceeds the typical quality of a product of this type and has a few extra features not usually found on other products of this type. I'd buy it.5 stars - exceptional - far exceeds the quality of products of this type. Hard to beat the quality and features included. Best value for the money. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it.

Nice little set of countersinks.Pros:It's generally well built. The construction is solid and I think it will last a long time. (see below).I like the way it's packaged although it's hard to get the bits in there sometimes. There is a scale laser etched into it. It's small and hard to read but I suppose ifyou're super into accuracy, you could use them.It feels smooth when you're assembling them.Cons:The plastic part that keeps you from overdrilling is plastic and there's only one of them. When it breaks, the bits are just plain old countersinks. It's the weak spot of the set.It takes some doing to change bits. Two allen bolts to release the yellow part and then the bit. (you can get it off without taking the yellow part off but you'll probably need to slide it so you'll need to loosen it)Overall, this is a good set and I'm glad I have it. It's worked well so far. Only really one use. I like that you can consistently drill the countersinks and make your project look professional. This is a DIY kit. It's not for the pros who drill 100 a day. It's for guys like me that do 100 per year. That said: I would get it again if I needed a new one. It's pretty good.
