This is a really useful tool for learning how to perform a cricothyritomy. It comes with crycothyroid membranes as well as skins. I'm guessing it's maybe so you can move it around (left to right) for access to uncut areas.The only issue I have with it is that the velcro on the skin flap is a little too wide so it doesn't sit very nicely on the bottom. Doesn't effect the function.
