In my smugness, when my original blower stopped working, I only wanted to replace JUST the blower. I ordered this, and while changing it out, discovered I needed everything included. My original wire connectors were browned and so brittle they crumbled. Thermostat to operate the fan crumbled as well. When put back together, I had to turn it back down, as I could feel the heat blowing out 12 feet away. Had to use a flashlight to actually see the fan turn, I could feel the air, just wanted a second opinion so to speak. Why? Because the fan made no noise. Ease of installation? Not a rapid fix. Mine required pulling the entire fireplace out of the corner enough to access the back panel. On mine, this has to be installed from the back, with access to the top of the insert. But made the total wiring replacement a piece of cake. Everything lined up with the original parts they replaced, and at a very low cost.
