This class 1 trailer hitch and ball mount combination is designed for a custom fit on select years of the Chevrolet Sonic (see application info to verify fitment). The hitch integrates with the vehicle's frame and provides a useful and dependable 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" receiver. The receiver is perfect for attaching the included ball mount and towing a small trailer, or for adding cargo space with a hitch-mounted cargo carrier, bike rack or other accessory. This particular class 1 hitch is rated for 2,000 pounds gross trailer weight and 200 pounds tongue weight (never exceed the lowest-rated towing component). The ball mount included with this trailer hitch quickly and easily installs into the hitch receiver and has a 3/4" trailer ball hole (trailer ball not included). It can be mounted in the rise or drop position to promote level towing. Like all CURT custom hitches, this class 1 hitch is protected with our co-cured finishing process. It is descaled for a smooth surface, immersed in liquid A-coat for rust resistance inside and out, covered with a durable black powder coat and finally co-cured for an industry-leading rust, chip and UV-resistant shield. No matter where you're headed or which season of the year you’re towing in, this CURT hitch is equipped for long-lasting resilience to the elements. It features an open-back receiver for easy cleaning, and it comes with all the hardware necessary for the installation.

Fit great, bolt on kit with no drilling required. Installed onto 2016 chevy sonic, great kit. If you have an aftermarket 4" exhaust tip like i do, you will have some clearance issues.

Quality design , workmanship, and paint. Even supplied fish wires that screwed onto the bolts to pull them through the frame and into the holes. Took less than 2 hours to install by myself I’m 71 years old.

Sturdy, easy to install (4 screws), great to use for bike carrier. Did not tow anything with it, but I guess that's not the purpose of hitch on a Sonic.Works great, shipped in secure packaging (unlike some other hitches on Amazon).Can not say bad word about it. Highly recommended for a bike carrier. I guess you can tow something with it as well, keep in mind it's for a Sonic though.5 stars hands down. Recommended.

Installation would have been easy if the product had arrived undamaged. It was bent (impossible to know if it happened during manufacturing or shipping) to the point that it would not line up with the frame rails for installation. After standing on one side and wrenching on the other to bend the brackets apart, I was able to line it up. Not rocket science, but may be confusing to some people. This turned what would have been a 15 minute installation into nearly an hour of sweating and swearing before I figured out I wasn't screwing something up, and that the hitch was bent. You certainly get what you pay for, but even the cheapest hitch on Amazon should come in a state that it can be installed without having to modify the part.

While the receiver hitch would normally work. Please please please include the hatchback or sedan fitment in the TITLE and not hidden in the middle of the page.

Perfectly fit my 2015 Sonic LT Hatchback. Easy to install, all the hardware and fishwire were included and good. This hitch is strong (my cargo rack bent but the hitch didn't) and lined up just right. Totally worth the money, adds much function to my little car.

The hitch arrived the next afternoon. Crazy fast. Saved on overnight shipping. Slightly complicated to install but was done in 20 minutes as promised by instructions. Instructions plain and simple to understand and complete. I can't haul anything but bikees and a cargo carrier on the Bug but this hitch allows me to do that. Great product
