Pain in the neck to install, but what isn't? I hate working on cars. Best feature: it's installed and it easily pulls my light windsurfing trailer.

I bought the Curt 11306 trailer hitch based on the ad picture and the written description. The ad showed the trailer hitch, "ball mount" ((part #45501)), pin & clip, and the mounting hardware. The ad said the ball was not included. The ball fits into the "ball mount" so I know the difference. Each part has its own part number. The first trailer hitch arrived in a battered box without the "ball mount ((part #45501)) and I speculated it had slipped out of the box. I packed it up properly and sent that one back and ordered a replacement hitch. The replacement hitch was packed better, the box was in good condition, but the ball mount ((part #45501)) was missing.I tried to send the second shipment back for an exchange but the website kept getting stuck at "enter credit card" but wouldn't show any options. The page stayed stuck at "enter credit card" even after I cleaned out the web browser and rebooted the computer and tried the return for replacement option again, by starting over. After several futile attempts at obtaining a replacement, I could only select a refund. I still need a trailer hitch with a ball mount. As far as the Curt 11306 trailer hitch, it looks like it is built 5 times stronger than the car it mounts to. I am not an engineer but have installed several trailer hitches when I worked at a RV dealership. The trailer hitch gets 5 stars because it is over built. The add description gets 2 star because it isn't accurate, parts listed were not included, and the process gets 1 star.Everything else I bought through Amazon was as advertises and I am happy with those purchases.

I purchased this hitch for my 2004 Chevy Aveo hatchback. I did not install it myself, but took the hitch to a local exhaust/trailer hitch shop and they installed for about $50. This hitch DOES require the bumper facia to be removed and holes drilled. The shop had no trouble doing this and the car was back within an hour. I was very impressed with the strength of this product over the others I compared it to. Others were cheaper, but this one has extra welds & plates on it (for strength), nicer paint, and came with the ball receiver and pin, which alone can make up for the dif. in price. I've used it for a couple months now with my bike rack and very small trailer I use for moving plants, repair equipment, etc. and I love it. ONE NOTE: the item is not chrome, but gloss black.
