My car is 2011 wrx. I installed a hitch on my last wrx a 2005, I don't have a truck this is my daily. So I occasionally haul a trailer or a bike rack. It fits very well only the receiver is visible. My car has muffler delete, I didn't remove the tailpipes or the bumper to install. It took about 3 hrs. I grinded the holes in the trunk to fit the bolts in, I pointed to them in my picture. I installed by myself using a 2×4 and a floor jack, this thing weighs about 40lbs. It would be difficult without using a jack. I backed my car onto my ramps. I called curt because I wasn't sure if this was going to fit my car, they told me they didn't make a hitch that fit my car. So I'm greatfull that people posted reviews, hopefully mine helps someone too. I love my subaru and I think this will stiffen the rear of my car, ya it adds weight but why not have a hitch on your wrx?

Nice hitch, very well hidden. Install on the garage floor took about an hour.

2013 WRX Got the hitch in less than 24 hours from purchasing... Lol almost too fast. Love the hitch. I ended up drilling and enlarging the holes from the inside of the trunk. I didn't want the bumper to not go on correctly. Took about 45 mins this way. I highly suggest lubing the exhaust hangers. Its a must to have 2 people. Added photos.

Big, heavy, it works. Nothing crazy here. Cool they make this for the WRX since technically you are not supposed to tow anything with it and cannot get one from Subaru. I only use mine for a bike rack. Installation was more difficult than previous hitch installs i have done (helps to remove the bumper).

Installation took an hour and a half, and I am glad I had a buddy to help position it when installing. It fits nice and is unobtrusive beneath my rear bumper. If I could to it all over again, I would have snapped the two middle rear clips on the underside of the bumper in place before attaching the hitch and reinstalling the exhaust. I dropped the 2 mufflers by disconnecting the 5 rear exhaust hangers, and removed the outer rear bumper and the inner crash bumper to install the bolts into the frame rails. No drilling necessary! I dock a star because I am a little bitter that I had to mangle a couple of the clips in order to get the bottom rear of the bumper to fasten. I am not sure if that's operator error or design flaw. Hopefully this review will help someone from having this issue!

Instructions are a little unclear for install (e.g. it is not necessary to enlarge the access holes to bolt the hitch), but the product itself is solid.Product did not ship securely contained within box -- it arrived with two scraped edges (box was torn in those areas also).
