This hitch is really good quality a little overpriced personal opinion. My issue was that when the hitch arrived the hardware was just not there. I emailed the company and they we’re being jerks about the missing hardware. Don’t order from this reseller.

Nice quality. Ordered the one from Northern Tool I received model 12013. It did not include the ball mount, pin or clip in the description and item pictures.

It comes with what you need in the box, it does what it should, and all the holes lined up well, with enough slack to allow for the fact my car was rear-ended once. It does hang down a little more than it really needs to (2007 Toyote Matrix), which is unfortunate on a vehicle that doesn't have mountains of ground clearance in the first place, but it's rarely an issue. Overall very happy.

Item fit my Matrix XR perfectly. It cleared the lower valance by approximately 1/8". Simple installation. Only note I have pertaining to the installation is just like many others I had to clean the threads in the mounting holes on the frame. If you want to make your installation go smooth I recommend you run a tap or use thread chaser in the mounting holes in the vehicles sub-frame before you go to install the hitch.

Nice product for my 2007 Toyota Matrix. After cleaning the threads on my vehicle frame, it installed easily. Total time was about 30 minutes. Would recommend this product. My use will be light use, for bike rack, and to carry a cooler when I go fishing so that the vehicle doesn't get the fishy smell inside. I will also pull a small trailer from time to time.

This trailer hitch fit perfectly. I was sure that something would need to be moved or trimmed especially on the Matrix XRS with spoilers everywhere, BUT nothing needed trimming or removing-- it fit perfect. The bolt holes on the car had to be chased with a tap otherwise the bolt would bottom out before snugging up the hitch to the frame, but that is expected with road debris and never being used. Used Locktite to help keep the bolts from backing out. Easy install. I liked the fact that Curt does not drill a "fail" bolt hole in the receiver to limit weight load, (like another hitch manufacturer, Hidden Hitch) that's the most ignorant thing I have heard of, basically saying "your too stupid to load a trailer properly for the towing vehicle". I understand the risk of overloading the hitch and mostly the towing vehicle, but don't limit the hitch, EDUCATE the people - put instructions outlining the load limits. Anywho, I am glad I went with the Curt Hitch.

This product is as easy as it gets for installing a trailer hitch however the holes that were factory drilled underneath my car had some rust and build up in it. I attempted to install the hitch but the bolts weren't gripping. Rather than risk stripping the threads, I had a place install it for me and they told me that the reason why it didn't go in was because the bolts were too short. So the extra $50 I spend on the installation of 4 bolts, could have just cost me $3 for longer bolts. Thanks Curt Manufacturing for giving me short bolts and costing me an additional $50!

I bought this to haul my recumbent bicycle around on my 2004 Toyota Matrix. Pretty easy to install although the bolts were hard to start. Fit and finish are good but I did notice a chipped spot that will need a little touch up.
