2020 Model 3Good quality product, I’ve used the same hitch on my last two cars so I was looking forward to this one. For that, 5 stars. Unfortunately, the bold holes don’t quite align making it impossible to get a socket in. I tried contacting support and all they would do is verify dimensions to make sure it wasn’t bent then told me my car was made different so it won’t fit and I have to go through Amazon for a refund. For that, 0 stars. I’m going to open up the holes in the aluminum bumper beam to allow access with a socket. I shouldn’t have to but I need a hitch and I’m willing to. I’m sure there are lot of others that wouldn’t be willing or able to. So with modification to be able to install it, I give it 2 stars. Also, the instructions should be more explicit in specifying the you need 15 mm and 11/16” DEEP sockets. These are not included in my standard deep socket set so I had the car in pieces before discovering that and having to run out and buy more sockets.

I chose the Curt hitch since it was about half the price than other stealth or eco hitch options. Curt’s website was updated to indicate compatibility with 2022 model years so I gave it a try. The paper instructions are confusing and incorrect at times, due to differences in model years of the car. But there are online videos showing how to remove the bumper. It took about 4 hours to install and fit well. There was no cutting involved due to the later model years of car having a removable access door in the bottom tray for the hitch receiver. Packaging from curt was not adequate and the receiver was poking through the box when I got it. However this doesn’t look to have caused any significant damage, some scrapes on it. Overall a positive experience. I use it for a 2 bike carrier.

Packaging wasn’t great. Went this the 1.1/4” receiver hitch. Took about 4hrs to install by myself. Had to remove bumper cover along with bumper & brackets. Make sure to remove 1 screw on each side of your rear wheel well to remove bumper cover. I cut 2.5”wide x 4”deep for receiver hitch to drop down through. Happy with the product. Hopefully this helps. Thanks

I installed this hitch on my 2018 Model 3, it took about 90 minutes and the instructions were very good. I had no problems with the holes lining up that other reviewers had. The only minor difficulty is re-installing the bumper cover which is normal for any car and had nothing to do with the hitch. When trimming the under-carriage cover where the hitch goes through it, you may need to trim a little more towards the front of the car than what was in the instructions
